For the past like 2 months I've been randomly smelling this Awful smell.. sometimes its so bad i get nauseous and want to throw up and its always the same smell, but no one around me ever smells it and I ask my friends if i smell bad and I never do. AND. About a month ago I started randomly tasting what i smell.. like my mouth tastes like what i've been smelling.. idk if that makes sense..but it makes my want to throw up. and my friends say my breath doesn't smell bad and my boy friend says my mouth never tastes bad. sometimes i even taste it right after i brush my teeth. Do you have any idea what it is?
and I'm sure the smell isn't coming from my mouth. and my friends would defiantly tell me if i smelled bad, they arent the i dont want to hurt your feelings type

When you have certain stomach issues such as ulcers/acid reflux ect it can cause this kind of thing to happen. Although I think you would know if you had either one. Any heartburn, upset stomach or nausea lately?
It is a known fact that you can actually taste certain smells because the brain processes the information on the smell and causes you to taste it. Hence why if you small a cake your memory of what that taste like refers to the brain and suddenly you can taste it.
A few possible other ideas :
1.Your body chemistry, and no I'm not talking about bad body odor, it's just some of us have a smell that comes from our chemical makeup that only we notice.
2. Sensory issue, meaning possibly the signals in the brain are creating something that simply doesn't exists.
3. Where does this tend to happen? Anywhere or somewhere specific? Could be something in your environment that your not aware of.
4. Cavities in the mouth are often odorless to others but because it is in OUR mouth we pick up on it.
Just a few ideas. Hope it helps!
