Yeast infections are related to low stomach acid...I've suffered them for years get your stomach acid right and you'll be ok......glycine, zinc, sea salt and histidine help improve stomach acid....
I'm living the same sad song. I see your post was 3 months ago. Were you able to figure out how to put a stop to this horrible situation? I've been dealing with this since August of 2013. I don't have itching, but now have three tears that are driving me crazy with the same symptoms you described. I hope you are feeling better and can share your course of treatment.
I also hear that you can use oregano oil and it works well. Have not used it myself though.
i can tell u that the yellowish discharge is probably not yeast infection it sounds like you have a std...to be exact Chlamydia.
I realize this is a really old post, but I just wanted to make sure that anyone checking it out while researching yeast infection treatments is made aware of the fact that you can be allergic to some of these treatments and it can get worse than the original yeast infection.
I experienced almost exactly the same thing as the OP while using Monistat 7--the initial itching got worse and worse, and culminated in burning when I used the Monistat on the 3rd day (as in, holding-an-ice-pack-between-my-legs-burning--it was really bad). I was finally able to get to my doctor, and as it turns out, I was having an allergic reaction to Monistat (and it was way more uncomfortable than the original yeast infection had been). I'd used Monistat successfully in the past, but I guess I got sensitized to it. It took over a month of twice-daily oatmeal baths to finally get my skin down there back to normal, because my reaction to the Monistat was so bad.
So, if you find that your symptoms are getting worse (or way worse) once you start treating them, there's a strong chance that it could actually be the treatment you are using, and you should stop right away (remember the doctor's rule: first, do no harm).
I haven't tried tea tree oil myself, but I'd strongly recommend testing it on your inner arm to make sure you aren't allergic, before using a lot of it on more sensitive areas.
Additional general yeast management advice also applies--i.e. wear loose clothing, don't stay in wet clothing, make sure you stay dry and clean, see your doctor, and use common sense.
I was also a sufferer of chronic yeast infections - at one stage just about everytime my husband came near me!! I have used many different essential oils other than tea tree to good effect - geranium, lavender, bergamot.... if you search online you will find many oils recommended as anti fungal that should do the trick. The important thing is to make sure they are 100% pure - I would recommend Young Living. If you douse a tampon in coconut oil and then drip only about 2 or 3 drops of your preferred oil onto it and insert it overnight you should clear it up. To then get rid of yeast infections in the long term, you need to try and get your whole system yeast-free - try not to eat too much acidic forming foods (sugar is a bad one!) and boost the good bacteria in your gut with a probiotic and enzymes. That's what has worked for me! GoodLuck!
No itch..... GONE!!! Hope it works for you, too.
