I know that there is no remedy but I am looking for an inexpensive daily use cream that is for skin with the porokeratosis. All those skin treatments are too expensive for me.

I have porokeratosis and my condition started about 4 yrs ago, right around the time my back starting herniating. I am using ammonium lactate cream and triamcinolone acetonide cream. As I see I am not the only one other people use this remedy too.

My doctor just prescribed Dovonex. Has anyone else used it with success? I've tried the 12% Lac lotion, and finished a treatment of Efudex with minimal success. I'm looking for natural treatment or remedies.

I have this all over my arms it got to the stage that it was very red and looked like cigarette burns and my very clever husband suggested that i use sudocream it contains zinc and take a zinc suppliment at the same time i have been taking the zinc tabs and rubbing the cream on for about three weeks and it has made an enormous difference you can hardly see it now so give it a go previously i had been to a dermatoligist and tryed all the expensive creams etc with no luck so give it a go im shure youll be impressed

I also have porokeratosis. Did the sudocream, which is white, just lighten the spots or have you actually seen an improvement in the discoloration of the skin? How high is the zinc suppliment dosage, ie how many mg are you taking?

This is a shot in the dark but I have a mild case of Porokertosis on my arms and legs for several years now. I'm 55 and it's been getting worse for the last 3 or 4 years. I've have been golfing for years and normally lather up with sunscreen.ntains ZINC and recently started using "Badger", it contains ZINC. It was recomended by a golf pro here in town. I have noticed that after a round that areas of the porokeratosis have started peeling after its use, kind of like sunburn peeling, but just in the ares of the keratosis....... Interesting huh? I'll be talking to my Dermatologist soon about this soon but I may be on to something, we'll see. In adition I have strted a suppliment of zinc tablet as well. Hope this helps!!!

I have had porokeratosis since 2010. I have seen a dermatologist for years--using mostly steroid creams and phototherapy. What is finally working for me and amazingly fast is Capzasin gel with menthol. It helps the itch and heals the lesions. I bought it because I also have prurigo nodularis and it is working on that as well.
