I had my surgery 7 days ago. It was laproscopic via robot. 4 incisions took my uterus, falopian tubes & cervex. Doctor said it was a really difficult case... said he had to scrape my uterus off of my abdominal wall as it was fused to it and that I had adenomyosis which i dont have anymore because he removed all that tissue too. It took him am extra hour to do all the work and he said I'm probably in more pain than a normal hysterectomy. I have not been on pain meds since I got home because I cannot take anything orally due to bad ulcers... but I just dealt with it. Today I feel pretty good...just a bit tight in the tummy area and some very mild cramping inside where I imagine my cervex was. It's nothing compared to the 26 years of out of control periods I have suffered from! I am 45... I've lost about 10 pounds this week and hope to continue. I do have my ovaries so hopefully no hormones needed. I am having bottom issues... I've walked a lot each day and tried to eat mild foods but have hemorrhoids... anybody else dealing with this? My follow up isn't until next week... do i just deal?
