Howdy, first time i've ever made any topics on this board, or used one per say. But i guess i'd like a second opinion a few days earlier than my booked
doctor visit.
Some things to know, this is around my 5th time being under general anaesthetic. I've gone through a fair amount of surgeries in my life which don't bring back the best memories. But, this is the first time anything like this has happened, it's non reoccurring. I'm 17, not overweight, don't eat fast food or drink pop. I'd say i'm real healthy besides the fact my body hates me off.
Recently (last Wednesday) i had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed, course they put me under with some kind of IV to the arm, for the brief seconds before i passed out, i felt a real pain in my upper arm, a kind of burning sensation, and then i was gone.
The next few days are kind of a blur, i was in and out and in alot of pain, so of course with that came some heavy pain killers. But, on the first day i do remember telling my mom my left arm (arm they put the needle in) was kind of painful.
It's now tuesday and this pain hasn't gone away. I'll try to explain it abit better so people can get an idea of what's up:
I can't feel anything in about a 1cm circle around where i'm guessing the IV went in, (the inner side of my elbow) also, when extending my arm, i feel as if i'm over extending it, it's very painful and feels like a stinging all along the inner side of my arm. And finally, i've got a kind of numb sensation going up and down my arm while moving my fingers.
Theres not much more i can say about this, but it's very painful and annoying. If anyone could give any kind of diagnosis, or pain relief besides obvious painkillers, that'd be really helpful. And of course I'm not sure it's from the IV, I'm just guessing considering the problem really felt like it started when the IV went in.
Thank you!
