This is normal. This is your body adjusting to your hormones after being on the depo shot for so long and now you are without. It would take about a year or so before your body will be able to get pregnant as it takes that long to adjust itself back to normal after being on the depo shot. The hormones right now adjusting in your body are just mimicing exactly like pregnancy symptoms do and that is what is so confusing - it takes a lot and the right circumstances for most woman to get pregnant and just getting off the depo shot most woman would not get pregnant unfortunately. So confusing - stress does this to the female body too - lucky us!

It is possible and that is not true that it stays in your system long cause my doctor told me! I skipped one shot one month and I was pregnant the next month and I had Been on depo since 07. And that happen on 2011
hi, I missed my shot on the 23rd oct which I have been on for 2 years by accident, I had unprotected sex on the 18th, 25th and the 28th im feeling many pregnancy symptoms, I have had no period for 2 years did you get periods while on this jab? I was on the shot for a year and I got pregnant within a month of being of the shot... it all depends on your body. With my son I wasnt on anything for over 5 years and it took 2 yrs to get pregnant. Everyone is different but yes it can happen.
Hia I've been off the depo 2 and a half months nrly since Dec 3 I've had all pregnancy symptoms worse 1 being tender breast I've had loads of pink mucus but no red blood I'm so confused but was so confused I was pregnant I had a fake positive pregnancy test 3 weeks after coming off but took 4 more and all been negative after maybe I should ask for blood tests thanks for the post it helped me
I have the same exact symptoms I was on Depo for a little under 2 years. I'm sexually active and TTC I have taken tests all of the have been negative.

I am feeling the same , I have read about depo withdrawal symptoms and they say its the same as pregnancy!! I am going to the doctor to speak about it
I was on the depo shot for a year. Stopped taking the shot three months ago. Had unprotected sex a little over a month ago( took morning after pill next morning after) and have had nausea, sore breasts/nipples, and bloating. Took lots of pregnancy tests at home all said negative but no period in sight? Not sure if I'm paranoid or need to set an appointment with a doctor? Maybe side effects from shot? Help!

It's been awhile since your post..what happ end? Mine was due dec 18. I usually have some kind of show 2 it 3 times a month without fail..I now haven't seen a drop for 3 weeks. I have pregnancy symptoms my nurse said it's possible plus my libido skyrocketed for the past weeks since my missed shot. Here's to hoping:) see my nurse in 5 days:)
