Hi,
I have had two miscarraiges in 8 eight months. My husband and I want a baby, we have a three year old. My last pregnancy wasn't detected until I was a month and a half - I was upset as I had no idea until that point. Since the middle of June I had been taking home pregnancy tests weekly as my period was not coming. I went to see my doctor on June 27th - took test there and still negative. She opted to put me on birth control to try and bring on my period. The pill lasted about two weeks as I became very ill. Went off the pill - still no period. Thinking I took another home pregnancy test - positive. Yesterday took another one - positive again.
My question is, how far along would I be and would taking the birth control pill be bad for the pregnancy if I had been pregnant all along? Hope that someone can help.

Still wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this?
I'm sorry that you have had to go through the miscarriages. I know how you feel I have had two in the past two years. With one I was six months preg. that had to have been the hardest thing in the world for me, not to mention they knew his heart had stopped and opted not to take him until two days later. Then the next day I was hurting so I decided to jump in the shower before rushing off to the hospital and had him in the shower, by myself. I had to carry my precious little boy to the hospital on my own as the father was a peice of c**p and was with his girlfriend at the time and "couldn't get away". I also lost a baby at 5 weeks in May and we are despretly TTC so I can have a baby before I go to college next fall.
Anyway, I do have a three year old son. When I got preg. with him I was on the pill and didn't know I was preg. for a little over a month and was taking the pill the whole time. The only thing that even clued me in that I was preg. was heartburn. I had skipped the last week of pills and started a new pack so I could not have to deal with a period so I didn't even know I had missed it. My son is and always has been perfectly healthy. He had a good delivery and has had no problems at all with his development.
There are a lot of women who get preg. on the pill and take it for quite a while not knowing they are preg.. I am sure that there is a potential for some sort of complications but I think that they are probably pretty rare as long as you stop taking it as soon as you fing out you are pg.
I am not in the healthcare profession so this information may not be completly accurate and I think that you should talk with your doctor about your concerns. I hope everything works out for you. Lots of Love and God bless!

Thank you so much for your story. I am so sorry to hear about both miscarriages. I to have a three year old and I also had my last miscarriage in the shower. The fist was early miscarriage and I knew something was wrong. Had the ultrasound when issues arose, they told me I was barely pregnant but I knew that I was further along as per HPT. A week later everything ended.
I guess there isn't much I can do and pray that this pregnancy goes smoothly. So far so good, can't help but be worried if you know what I mean.
I look at it as I am lucky or my husband and I am lucky to be able to get pregnant this many times - some are unfortunately not able to. There has to be a reason and a good side to everything I suppose.
I feel better this time around, more relaxed and we caught this really early. My doctor beleives that conception was at the beginning of July. She is also sending me on a two hour trip for some type of ultrasound that looks at everything. This won't occur until September. My husband and I know but no one else and it's just better that way at the moment consdiering the past.
Anyway, thank you for responding. Take care

I hope that everything goes well for you guys this time around. Just relax there are many people that go on to have perfectly healthy preg. after mc. I know it is easier to say then do. I have been there, but it really is best if you try to relax. Take care and keep us posted on how you, your little baby, and your family is doing. I'll pray for you.
