Hey :)

So, i started the birth control shot about two months ago, for the first time. My next shot is due at the end of this month on the 29th. I had unprotected sex on the 22nd, 24th and 25th of last month. I was on my period at this time, my period was lasting for about three weeks. If i'm correct, some of it may have just been spotting due to the birth control. So that time is still around my regular timing for a period, since it's near the 29th which obviously is my period time since that's when i'm receiving the shot. I also had sex on the 8th of this month, which is a couple days after my period was finally finished.

I don't have any signs of pregnancy. And maybe i don't have to worry because i was on birth control, but it's kind of getting to me since i've never been on it before and i've also never had unprotected sex.

So i was wondering if anyone has any comments if i was being unsafe. Because my boyfriend says i should just take a pregnancy test just in case. Except i don't know if i should wait from the days i had sex since the 8th. Or the days i had sex from the 22nd, because i read that there's less of a chance of getting pregnant while on your period?

Thanks. :)

Sorry I can't be much of help on the birth control matter, seeing I don't personally have any experience with BC. But I'd say you are pretty safe, but IF you want to be sure, wait two weeks after the last time you had sex and take a test, by then it should be accurate, just make sure you don't drink a lot before taking the test, preferable using your first morning urine. OH! And make sure you keep the test long enough if your urine stream. Follow those rules and it should be accurate. :) Hope this helps and best of luck to ya!

There is no harm in you taking the test, just make sure to follow the  DggyDgP's advice - definitely on the spot there.
However, if you already were two months on birth control, chances extremely high that you were protected - that is the reason you take birth control. So, that wasn't unprotected sex, the birth control had enough time to work and to protect you.
