Hello, folks. I have read about mad cow disease. As far as I understand, it is caused by abnormal protein particles called prions. These structures are even simpler than viruses. I have heard that prion protein called Shadoo is found in mad cow disease. Is this true? I would appreciate all your replies.
Hi, folks. Prions are really guilty for mad cow disease. Shadoo prion is found in mad cow disease. Prion protein PrP protects the brain. However, if there is a wrongly folded version is folded, then a conversion of normal PrP begins. This wrongly folded variety can be responsible for mad cow disease. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the details. I am not sure how much science knows about this. I hope I’ve helped a little. Bye!
