Question about thyroid regrowth

I had a hyperthyroid back in 2004 I had to get my thyroid removed I had to have two surgeries because I try to save one side which was the left because the right side had a tumor in it so when they went to pull it at busted so they had to go back in 6 weeks later and remove the left side I had to have the radioactive iodine treatment and was in remission after a year and that was 2005 here it is 2017 I was told in 2015 that they didn't see any tissue on my neck ultrasound and now hear this 2017 and they're saying that they see some tissue growth I'm really scared I don't know what to do I have to go see the doctor in a week because they want to talk to me cuz they said it could either be cancer or it could be benign or could just be nothing and I was told by my surgeon dr. Robert Marvin in Houston Texas that he said he had to leave a little bit of pain. On my vocal cord because if he was to remove it I would never be able to speak again well they shot the all that radiation in on that one little bitty pin. And they he said I'll never get it back well now there's tissue there so I'm praying and hoping that it's nothing

Thyroidectomy won't cure an autoimmune disease. Detox the gland and stop eating gluten and foods that make you sick and get the minerals your body needs to stay healthy.

this is an old thread but the problem sadly isn't old. and i just wanted to say you are sure right. anyone who was forced to have their thyroid taken has suffered so much (as I do) and it would be such a blessing to say f u to all these ailment and issues because i don't have a thyroid and stop having to take these bloody replacement hormones. this news gives me hope!!!

Sorry but I disagree. My thyroid re grew and was wrapped around my oesophagus and was choking me and if I hadn't had it removed again it would have killed me. It's not always a good thing.

Regrowing thyroid tissue is not necessarily a good thing. In my case I am not growing a new thyroid, no I have random lumps of thyroid tissue regrowing. They do not give consistent levels of hormone. My levels are all over the place and the tissue is just a golf ball-sized lump in the front of my throat. So stop telling people that it's a wonderful thing that your thyroid is growing back and to go see a homeopathic practitioner. That is something to consider to avoid surgery but not everything can be fixed with a homeopathic approach.
