I had catheter ablation less than a week ago - the surgery lasted about 5 hours and they burnt away 60 different spots - i stayed overnight and was allowed home the next day. i was prescribed 50mg of a beta blocker to take for a month after my surgery. i don't have any pain or bleeding, but i am experiencing LOTS of palpitations and some light headedness when i walk around - i'm fine when sitting or laying down. I was told that i should be back to normal a couple of days after the surgery but i'm not.
Is this normal??

I would say that what you are experiencing is normal. Your circulatory system and heart have experienced significant trauma. It will take awhile for everything to heal and get back to normal.
