my son does. he takes seroquel to help him sleep. he takes abilify 20, and the lowest dose of seroquel at night. he has had great results. he is stepping himself out of taking abilify. he is 26, and has taken both for about 3 years now.

i used to take abilify about 4 years ago alone, i am on seroquel 25mg now just to basically help me sleep it hasnt been helping my mood in a long time but i can not sleep without it. my worry is last year i was diagnosed with epilepsy this year i was proven i was misdiagnosed, i am fighting a medical mystery on why i pass out when i have panic attacks (which i had all my life and didnt start the passing out til last year) when i was diagnosed with epiliepsy i was on lamitcal and it put me in the hospital for days from hives inside and out and nearly died, now im a deathly afraid of taking medications that i havent tooken in a while let alone mix them with a medication im already on. my question is did anyone else have good luck with these two medications mixed together?

im supposed to take abilify 2mg in the am and seroquel 25mg at night

Hello, I am also taking both for bi polar & rls. I cant seem to sleep ither! Im on a kamikazee of pills . None of which I think or feel help. I went to my doctor today & she up d my mgs on seraquil! Still no sleep , its now going on 3:23 am! Grrrr

Loose the abilify it can't compare to seroquil.

I take Seroquel and the doctors recommended Abilify as an adjunct to it. It didn't help me and made me too dangerously tired to function at work or to drive. We changed the Abilify to Citalopram (celexa) and now life is good. Talk to your doctor.

I was taking abilify 5mg a night . Because my husband lost our insurance my doctor put me on quetiapine 100 mg nightly . Since then my mental state has gone down hill . I am having bad panic / anxiety attacks . Should I go back to ablilfy ?

I have been taking 150mg of Wellbutrin with 5 mg of Abilify for over a year and it worked well for me UNTIL my insurance stopped paying for my Abilify and I went through a really bad breakup. At that point, the Wellbutrin pooped out on me and I was suicidal and I went into the hospital. They kept me on Wellbutrin and added a low (25mg) dose of Seroquel at night to help me sleep. My Dr is still trying to convince my insurance to pay for my Ability so I am waiting to hear back about that but I feel like it has been a big help keeping my mood stable. The Seroquel is still a new thing for me but it has helped me sleep. I wish I could tell you exactly why my diagnosis is but its still up in the air. My Dr haven't decided yet. I was diagnosed as Bipolar in the past but now my psychiatrist thinks it is very severe major depression with a lot of aggitation. I never feel extremely happy and I have tried a lot of drugs made for bipolar disorder such as Lamictal, Zyprexa, and Risperal that made me feel suicidal and/or like a zombie.

No akathisia isn't a racing heart. It basically means that you can't sit still. You have an inner restlessness and just feel off. Like you have to be moving all the time. Anxiety in general can cause that, but thankfully abilify hasn't caused that for me yet.

20mg Abilify day and 50-100mg seraquel.
take both at night as my doc suggested.
I only started 2 weeks in.

I just started the same doses as you. Battled with anxiety/bi polar my whole life finally at 30yrs old went to talk to someone.

I actually im just trying the seroquel 25mg at night and if it doesnt help the mood swings ill add the 2mg abilify in the mornings. Took my first 25mg last night and it was the first solid sleep ive had in my life.

I just started that combo I had wanted off of Seroquel for years because of side affects Finally I kind of insisted I was taking 50 mg at 6 in am and 100mg at pm I also felt it wasn't doing any good with moo etc. So when I got him to listen heagreed to give me an Abilify . This has just been over a week I still have to take 25mg of Serouel in am and 25mg at night. I am still in that phase of getting rid of one drug to be adding another. I feel some change but hoping for more and better results. I tend to be almost overly sensitive to any med so getting things right is very hard and can't remember when I really felt this where working together and not having to keep switching things up One main fear is being able to sleep at night

I take Abilify 2 mg and Seroquel 150 mg at night and feel very good. I sleep well at night and wake up good in the morning and have energy during the day.

What was the tapering schedule off of the Abilify? My son has been taking 15 mg for one week every night. He also takes 200 mg of Seroquel every morning for a month He was doing well on the Seroquel alone. But since starting the Abilify he has been highly agitated.

I just started taking abilify in the morning instead of at night. I think this will be better. How much seroquel are you taking at night? Do you think there is a greater risk of high blood sugars taking both together?
