severe posteria nose bleed

I had frequent nosebleeds as a child, maybe I was anemic at some point too...LOL, but no remedies. You have a solution, but it sounds like you may be over-medicated ! You're taking the iron tablets, but how much are you taking? Could it be too much of a good thing? Combining the iron and the B12 injection may be alot. Have your blood levels check by a doctor. It sounds like you have because you have a high platelet count. Your message sounds like you've have one nose bleed event, but your treatment is ongoing. Is that correct?

I agree with dsdesk, there are many factors that need to be answered before knowing for sure when your blood will return to normal. It does sound as though you are taking too much medication, or moreso vitamin B12. Is this your first and only bout with nose bleeding? I am assuming that you have had more than one severe nose bleed to place you on iron and B12. Is that true? Severe anemia will land you in the place of injections on a quarterly basis, but I am not sure if that your situation or not. Were you anemic before the nose bleed incident?

Have your nosebleeds gotten better. Did you find out if you were ODing on some of the supplements. This was an interesting observation that a couple of us made. We'd like to know if we were on the right tract. I sincerely hope that you are moving toward a more balanced situation.
