Mineral oil. It's what kicked our scabies when all the gas smiling creams the doctor gave us failed. Slept with it on 2 nights. Gone. Suffocates them.
I have the same thing from Lexapro. I have to take a Zyrtec every other day to get the itching to stop.
If you had scabies, which are EXTREMELY CATCHY, your entire household would have it. A test is, does your partner in bed have it? If so, probably scabies or other mites (there are several). I have a tiny blister rash ankles and forearms, and an itchy scalp and neck. I also have VERY itchy eyes, nose and sneeze, etc., which suggests allergy. (that still could be scabies/ mites because it's an allergic reaction we get to the bites.) But it could also be liver, kidney problems, or an environmental allergy, like to an old carpet or some other allergy. A dr. online said #1 cause of indoor allergies is the glue in carpets. We pulled up the carpet of the last 3 places we lived because it bothered me, A LOT. Once gone rash disappeared. You can test by taking a benadryl or general allergy pill. If the symptoms go away, it's an allergy (yes that could still be mites, dander, mice, termites, dust, food, mold, etc.) So I would say a general practitioner first on his/her best guess and some general tests. 1. Bug 2. Allergy 3. Vitamin Levels Off 4. Other/ disease 5. Diet 6. Environmental factors/ products new to you ..... Next maybe dermatologist can determine if it's strictly dermatitis related. OR an Allergist to test for what you're allergic to. Or back to your general practitioner to test for liver/ kidney/ diabetes/ lupus/ auto immune/ lyme, etc depending upon your other symptoms. Blood tests are very cheap to run. ............And have you been eating nothing but junky carbs lately? In some people, too many junky carbs can cause rashes and major skin problems. Wheat allergies are rising, like the peanut allergies did couple decades ago. It's not a Gluten allergy, but a reaction to the insecticides they douse over the crops over and over again, including right before harvesting (rain or shine so it doesn't always rinse off.) Europe and Canada have banned Round-up because it gives all these exact symptoms...... But all of this begins at your doctor's office for tests, systematically eliminating each as the tests go on, or as your doctors eliminates them based on your symptoms.
I have the same thing; and have found out at age 50 that I have a dairy allergy. Whenever I have anything dairy it starts about 1-2 hours later. Sometimes it is within 5 minutes, depending on the dairy. It also makes my scalp, cheeks, lips and eyes itch at times. Just an fyi

Yes, I have a rash across my stomach, itchy elbows/back of arms, and one of my ankles. Had this for months, and steroids dont work. Almost burns at times. Anyone know what is this?
It may also be hives which is an indication that you may be allergic to something. It could also be an indication of something more serious. I have the same problem and I am being tested for Diabetes and liver problems. You should seek medical advise if you are worried.
