I had an ablation yesterday to fix my WPW condition and i was wondering the same thing. How long before i can have sex again and another thing, how long before i can drink alcohol again?
I had three "irregular heartbeat" episodes over about 2 months (first one scared me and I went too the hospital). I was put on coumadin and toprol.
I did tons of research on the web and kept finding things suggesting some people get it when they put on extra weight. I had over the last couple years (18 pounds) and so went on strict diet (WW) and as soon as i started losing weight, no more AF! Im determined to get my weight down. I had also needed a bra extention just about a month or 2 before the first episode, so it all makes sense. Also good to note is I think a scary situation(and the extra weight) trigged it all. Anyway, maybe it's worth a try to lose weight and see if you dont have it any more. I also think (from what Ive read) warming up and warming down are very important. And Ive read ice on back of the neck can take the AF away and put your heartbeat back to regular. It worked for me TWICE.
