I have been shaving my vagina and in the top of my vagina lips both sides I have had irritation and it is not a bump but a red spot and around two hairs it appears to be red when I first shaved I had cut myself and thought it would heal but it gets irritated from me wearing thongs I almost positive it is not a std but not sure what it is can u please help?

You could have an ingrown hair or two there. It will probably clear up on its own but in the meantime i suggest putting liquid Vitamin E on it. Drugstores carry it in little bottles and it is very handy to have around for that area. Just rub a couple of drops into the affected area and leave it. Granny panties will not rub the area and make it worse. Let it get some air at night.

Be very careful with in grown hairs. After 2-3 days no relief from hot compresses then go to a doctor. Infections like this can potentially kill you. I had to have one day surgery and in the doctor office incisions to remove these painful cysts. Shaving is nice for swimmers and sexual pleasure but be careful of shaving too often and too close. Waxing can cause the same problems. I am a black women. Finally tight fitting underwear and pants can cause these pimples. See a doctor if hot compress are not working. Squeeze this area until the white pus and red pus is visible then continue with heated moist cloths for a few days follow up with a doctor visist ask for antibotics.
