if you are oversuppressed you can get very tired that's what my primary told me. I still feel like sh*t and my tsh is 1.8 there is no light at the end of the tunnel for me. sigh
Hello, this thread is over a year old so I’m praying you or someone sees this. Did you ever find the cause and cure of your symptoms as o had a total thyroidectomy 7weeks ago and I’m experiencing the exact things. My body get hot and tingly, immediately followed by shortness of breath and wheezing. I also can’t walk a small flight of stairs without gasping for air. I’m exhausted and honestly felt better when I had my thyroid, nodules and all!
Any surgery can cause Atelectasis. (collapsed base of lungs) A CT of the lungs is required. Physicians do not explain this before nor after surgery. Ask your physician for a CT and a copy of the report. Hope this helps.
Did the shortness Of Breath Happen straight after your Surgery Or did it take a while to transpire?
Maybe the walking and pushing to exercise a bit at a time is strengthening it
It's been over a year since I had my thyroidectomy, and until today, my voice has not returned. Now I am having wheezing, shortness of breath, and a sleepless night. What can I do to solve this problem?
I am just reading this now and you are not alone! I feel "off" all the time but my levels are supposedly normal.I have chest pain right near my sternum very often. Frustrating.
Thyroidectomy 6 months and RN same symptoms. I haven’t had an ultrasound yet but did research and this is what I found and it makes sense. Up to 39% post op have larangopharyngeal reflux because thyroidectomy tends to worsen anti-reflux defense mechanism. Maybe try some sort of medication for that. I just took an antacid and I’ll take 3 times a day for a week see if that improves.
I have a patient with a total thyroidectomy and parathyroidectomy with shortness of breath and chest pain as well as kidney stones, I have search all over the internet as no specialists can give an answer. Her TSH is over 200 to 800. Her heart is fine according to specialist cardiac investigations except for the rhythm that is from 47 to above 90 with positional chest pain. I am putting her n Vitamin D, Selenium and anti-oxidants. Will let you know how it is going. Conventional medicine does not know.
