I am struggling so bad with the pain and constipation post surgery 6 days (not taking constipating meds, taking tons of water, fiber, prunes and mirilax!) NOW someone tells me I should have had the easy Keesey Treatment! No cutting! I had 3 internal hems removed weeks prior to the awful external tag excision that is killing me now. Is anyone familiar with this treatment? Could this really have saved us all!?!?

Hm, I don't know anyone who had this procedure.

Maybe it is easier than classical surgery, but I can't tell this for sure. Maybe those non - surgical treatment are less painful, but I don't know how effective they are.

I don't know why, but I always support those classical treatments. The same case is with hemorrhoids treatments

Should you or you shouldn't to this depends on the stage in which you are. There are six stages - if I am not wrong, and every stage is different. But this type of treatment that you have mentioned sounds good, because the fact that makes the Keesey technique desirable is that the patient may be freely ambulant after completion of the procedure. They usually go home immediately and they continue with their ordinary life.

Yes the keesey technique has helped me immensely and is almost painless. It comes with more of an odd sensation while the physician is treating but after I felt immediate relief. I will go back to get more done (I have several internal hemorrhoids and the doctor recommended doing only a few each time.) I wish my insurance covered it. Some do but mine doesn’t. I would definitely opt for this treatment over surgical in the future for anyone else wondering. It is worth it so far!
For those not familiar, it is typically done by a naturopathic doctor specializing in it and uses direct current to shrink the hemorrhoid. It can be done within a few days of the last treatment and has shown amazing results in permanently relieving internal hemorrhoids. Nutrition combined with it helps greatly reduce the occurrence.

I am researching treatment options and feel that the Keesey technique is the one. For over 15 years, I have dealt with them. I have 2 internal ones. I researched traditional surgeries years ago (particularly around really bad flare-ups) but traditional surgeries sounded really rough. I believe I am stage 2 or 3 as they always go back in after movements.

Do you mind sharing what you paid per session when you had this done?
