There's way too much panic on here about this issue. Most people have one small lump somewhere in their body. And most doctors have a lot of patients with more serious problems to look after. If it doesn't hurt then leave 'lumps' for a good while before you start to worry.
I have the same thing going on with me. I have a lump under the skin just above my right hip and it pains me to do my regular activities stretching is hard to do like I use to. I think it is also causing the swelling in my right leg as well

I have the same lump and it has grown to be 2 1/2 inches by 1 inch. Just had an ultrasound on it last week. told me results will be two days. Had an ultrasound on it two years ago when it was very small. They told me they thought it was a lipoma at that time.
I'm still having a lump under skin on the hip after I was hit by big tree branch 7 months ago. What could it be?
