I really need some advice, I've been making myself SICK looking at all these posts thinking I have something.... About a week ago I got a little bump on the inside of my left vaginal lip... Now I know this is bad but I went to try and squeeze it because I have had in-grown hairs in that region before from shaving, that have been completely normal... However, this time I noticed it had a white head but nothing is wanting to come out, I've now irritated it so much that it looks like an open sore that has been freaking the sh*t out of me!  I'm going to the doctors on Friday but I just need some in sight if anyone may know what this is... If I have much to be worried about.  It's just one single bump, not a cluster... And I wouldn't call it a blister... Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi concernedgal101. Have you tried a hot compress on it to see if that will draw it to a head or a soak in a hot bath? It could be just a deep rooted hair causing it but I wouldn't think it's anything serious though so try not to worry to much :-)

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply... However judging from your picture it seems your a guy, hope this isn't too descriptive and gross for you, but yes I've just taken a hot bath and nothing! :( it's in a spot that's hard to necessarily examine, however it looks like it has a hole in the centre... Meaning there could be a hair In the centre, but I've had this for a week now and nothing has come out despite me squeezing it. Does herpes show up as one sore ?! Any feedback is appreciative, thanks so much. Sincerely - concernedgal

Please stop squeezing it. You could introduce more bacteria and make the problem far worse. This almost certainly started off as an ingrown hair or pimple and all your squeezing has got it infected. I would recommend a trip to the doctors. They see stuff like this every day so its nothing to be embarrassed about and it will put your mind at rest. If you won't do that then continue with the hot compress, maybe adding a bit of salt to aid healing any infection.

Hi concernedgal101. Sorry I never replied to your last post but I never got notification of a reply. Hope you have got the answer you required from the doctor when you went, it will be good to know what they said it was as it will help anyone else with the same symptoms. I wish you well and any more problems feel free to post your questions :-)
