About two weeks ago I noticed a hard lump to the left of my naval. It doesn't protrude out, and you cant even notice its there unless you press on the side of my stomach. Its irregular shaped, so not really round. Its about 1inch long and wide. The skin is somewhat discolored over it. Its not mobile and can't be pushed around, I think it might have gotten a little bigger within the last two weeks. Doesn't really hurt, when pressed on there is some discomfort but not really. Any ideas what this could be?
hey leofox-

theres a slight chance it could just be hard stool or a diverticulum (pouch in the intestins. however divertivuli normaly form in the large intestine which are not located in your navel region. it could also be a umbilical hernia. either way i highly suggest getting it checked out. no one likes to get bad news but things like this normally do not go away in their own. its better to get things checked out early and then the outcome is normally much better and treatable.

please keep us posted and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
