I'm a 16 year old girl who has never smoked or drank. I've been sick for about a year now. I have constant nausea every day and I can barely ever finish a meal because half way through I will start to get excruciating pains right under my ribcage. I have been to so many doctors that I don't even know where to turn anymore. I get really dizzy throughout the day and also have terrible headaches. I've have my blood drawn about three times, a HIDA scan, ultrasound, and an upper GI. None of the doctors could find anything. It's frustrating being woken up from the pain in the middle of the night. I've been losing sleep and my weight is dropping. I just want to get better, any help at all is greatly appreciated.

I'm so in the same boat.
I am 17.
Been sick for 5 years
Had a HIDA scan come to find out my gallbladder is not working right, doctors are taking it out Wednesday the 21st.
though I do not think that will solve it all. Before that was a peptic ulcer, anal fissure.

just lost a little less then 20lbs over a 2 week period.

In the mornings i'm okay but during to day is torture.

Not saying you have, just gastro problems are a mystery sometimes and you can't do a whole lot for them. It's just misery.

Have yourself checked for gallbladder, hiatus hernia, stomach ulcers. There are not many good doctors out there anymore and unfortunately they miss diagnose a lot of illnesses. I'm talking firsthand as I had stomach ulcers, hiatus hernia and my gallbladder didn't function at all and it was missed for 15 yrs. I went to millions of doctors, professors and Misters and ALL of them couldn't see any of these problems. I found a doctor that could diagnose my problems and it was the above. The stomach can make u violently ill and u have NO energy and are lifeless...It's horrible. Wishing u the best. ....Good luck!!

im in the same boat!! about a year ago, i went to 6 or 7 different doctors, had blood drawn 8-10 times, and even wound up in the ER once. no one was able to figure it out. they all said i was fine. a few days ago it started all coming back, but it feels a little different. a friend of mine's mom said she had heard about a rare condition on TV that sounded jsut like mine, but she couldn't remember what it was called. any advice is apreciated!

I would look for a local alternative therapist who does allergy tests. They can usually test you for intollerances to all food items as well as household items. Hospitals only believe in blood tested full blown allergies but many people have intollerances to several food items that together make you feel very ill indeed. In the UK several friends have reduced or cured IBS, Urine Infections and unknown causes by seeking out the right person to test their intollerances. Good Luck.

Also... Just noticed many mention Gall Bladder, Intollerances to food such as milk, cheese and eggs can cause gall stones, and if left untreated can make you feel you cant eat at all. A friends husband took 7 years of bad pain to get diagnosed, yet its one of the easiest, uncomplicated ops to have.

Your allergy test may well tell you to cut back or out of dairy and you may escape having to have the op.

Best of luck again

Your symptoms sound just like my 15 year old daughters except she doesn't have headache or dizziness. Have you solved the problem? Have you checked your vaccine records to see if/when you got an HPV vaccine?
