i have the same symptoms. i am taking crestor,zetia and plavix. could it be the medicine causing these pains. anyone else on these?

I have the same symptoms all of you are describing with the small pain below & to the left of my jaw line feeling like a soreness just outside of my throat. I take no medicine, suffer no stress and have no allergies that I'm aware of. I usually sleep on my left side and wonder if that could be a correlation or possible causation. One of you mentioned a blood clot revealed after an insisted ultrasound. Does anyone here lay differently or have had anything found during a medical exam? Where's House when you need him!

Did you find out what it is? I started experiencing the same issue where my neck is soar and i can feel the discomfort when i stretch my neck? I know that i have a couple of nodules in my thryroid but ENT said they were nothing to worry about.

This is what's happening to me. I don't know what i did but all of a sudden it started hurting. I told my parents about it and they say that it is nothing. I haven't been to a doctor because it only lasts a couple of days and then goes away for some time. It is nice to hear that other people are having the same issue but it is not nice to hear that nobody knows why it is happening.

It's day 13 for me and I'm having a constant ach it's all on the left and about halfway down, I'm sure I'm feeling a lump as well as swollen glands, I had surgery two days befor this started and thought in May just be from the breathing tube but it's never eased if anything it's gotten worse, anti-inflam seem to take the edge off but because my work requires alot of talking and interacting I nearly don't have a voice at the end of the day and it hurts to talk and kill to cough, my neck is so tender I go to the doc tomorrow

Hmmm....I've been having similar pains all day, on & off. They come for a few seconds & then go. When they come, they're pretty intense though. I can't feel any swelling or anything out of the ordinary. It almost feels neurological as it shoots sometimes up to my ear.

It did help. I am feeling the same thing now. It started in the back of my neck and moved to the left side of the front of my neck under my jaw. I went to the dentist and they feel that it could be from clinching my teeth at night and it had gotten worse after my last dental procedure about a week ago. It feels like a bruise but nothing is there and I don't feel any lump. But about 14 years ago I had an inflamed lymph node in my mouth on the right side along the jaw line. Had it removed because it wasn't going down in size. It was the size of a pea. Was sent out to pathology and came back normal.
Just wish the pain will be figured out soon.

I have the same problem. Pain, sometimes dull, sometimes burning on the outside of my throat. ENT says it's allergies. I don't think so. The medication he put me on to treat it didn't do anything.

I'm a 25 yo male, I have exactly a similar problem that first started about more than 2 weeks ago, pain in the lower part of the left side of my neck. At first, I thought it was some sort of discomfort due to sleeping in a wrong position on my neck, or a little cold infection that was caused due to exposure to cold breeze hitting that part of my neck while being sweating over night when I was sleeping. however, it feels different than what I thought it was at the beginning, because those aches are kinda new symptoms to me that actually feels like they are originated deeply from the vertebrae of that side of my neck (I never felt like this before). When I tracked back the problem, The only thing I would think about that may have helped developing this issue is that me was having oral sex only (no genital oral sex) throughout the whole previous night. So when I woke up the next day, besides my self thoughts of me being slept wrong on my neck or my neck was exposed to cold breeze, I also thought that the girl may have accidentally hit me on that spot while we were passed out sleeping or something similar! But obviously, it's something else I can always tell.

Mine is in the front neck area too! It is not my throat. Doctor didn't see anything and it is very soar! Thought maybe it could be swolen glands.

Do you ride a bike couse I tighten the strip of my helmet from that day onwards I am feeling the pain the buckel was touching my throat and I wear a buff I think it is due to tightening of my helmet buckel I'll see for a few days if it doesn't get well Ill go to a doctor and get it checkes

I too occasionally experience same symptoms on right side of neck. Took advil and discomfort disappeared. I think lymph nodes swell and cause discomfort. Can not pin point true source of discomfort. But advil helped.

I know people that have experienced the same issue. My advice, get an hiv test. The lymp nodes swell because the infection is viral an the lymp nodes swell because the immune system is fighting it. Good Luck!
