Just found this post and I have experienced this since my early twenties. Doctors can't seem to figure it out. It is not TMJ and it is not a Glossopharyngeal problem though at first glance the symptoms seem similar. But I feel as if I have pinched something in my neck or throat and I can feel around and pop it back into place and the pain disappears. It is very scary not to know what it is.

My daughter has the same symptoms as everyone else and she's very tired. Her stomach hurts n chest. And she's 8. She couldn't breath 2 weeks ago bc her lymph nodes were so swollen on the left side of her neck but her glands aren't to swollen just sore. When u press of her throat it feels like fluid coming out that taste like pennies or metal. No one can give me an answer. She's been on so many antibiotics.

ok thats what happens to me too i dont how but you u should put a heat pad on it or iron a shirt and put it on ur neck to warm it that helps it alot but im not sure what is it

I have exact symptoms as you! I have a cat scan coming up. I wonder if it can be related to text neck. This seems to be quite the thing. However it doesn't feel muscular. It's deep in the front part of my left neck an ache or squeeze that radiates. I have had this going on on for 4 months now.

I am having this same issue, deep pain in neck not throat. its to swallow as well as i feel like I am chocking when I turn my head to the left. had an Ultrasound yesterday and the tech said may lymph node is swollen. but I would need to wait to hear back from my doctor. As anyone ever gotten to the root cause of this issue?

My doctor had an ultrasound of my neck done. It showed that half of my thyroid was inflamed. They didn't see any nodules so basically said I have to live with it because my thyroid bloodwork came back "A" ok......this is why it's called "PRACTICING" medicine!!

I had this same pain for a year or two and was finally told it all comes from the swollen glands, down the neck (the pain radiates to other areas as they swell) and behind the ear and on top of the clavicle. I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and this is one big symptom of it. Check it out if you are hurting and still can't find answers, I finally after getting treatment don't have the pain anymore and it feels so much better!!

Fibromyalgia pt for 15 years. Daily--chronic sore throat. not inside--feels like being choked; knife going through thro at. hurts to talk--back of tongue really sore. You have describe exactly what I habe been experiencing for the last 6 months! I had an ultraoundndone there was no problems ground. I had a night gaurd made for my teeth for clenching and grinding. This has not illuminated the problem either.

I just started having a strange ache on the right side of my neck below my jaw. It feels like a noid but can not be sure..
