I have been having the same cyst or pimple like thing in the back of my throat for a few months now. But one thing I have observed is it almost always comes after I eat out, I think it has something to do about cheap food additives...... maybe MSG??

You described this perfectly! I have the same exact problem!! I freaked out so much that I actually went to the ears nose and throat doctor because I wanted to make sure I didn't have cancer. Happily I walked out of that doctors office finding that I didn't have cancer! I felt kind of dumb to be honest but better safe than sorry I guess… I still don't know what it is, I go to my dentist in two weeks and will be asking her if she has any clue. I've had this my whole life and I'm 41. It's nothing. Just a reaction to some foods...but not every single time. I think maybe sometimes you have a scrape in the back of your throat and foot irritates it and causes a blister. Just pop it with your nail and it will go away.

You have a mycocele. One of the ducts that empties one of the many tiny salivary gland in your throat was damaged. As the duct healed over, it was blocked by the lining of your throat. Now it fills up with saliva like a blister. It is a common condition and harmless, though annoying. If you want a doctor to do so, the duct and the tiny gland can be removed using a simple outpatient process so it stops happening. He can also biopsy the glad to be sure the cells are not growing abnormally.

Could be a water blister...thats what mine is. I had the feeling of something stuck in my throat and i also busted the clear, watery blister. Sometimes they will go away in a few months...if not go to a ENT Specialist.

I've had the same problem for years and eventually went to an ENT who said it was an aphlous ulcer that's caused by acid reflux. I have throat reflux or 'silent reflux' because I don't feel a burning sensation but it's still there. I did a 14 day treatment with Nexium and it really helped. Also, lose the salsa---it's what's probably causing the trouble.

Hi I know this was over a year ago, but I HAVE THE SAME EXACT THING! Omg it comes back like a few times a week and it's in the same spot every time! Anyone find a way to "cure" this! It's super annoying because it always happens after I eat. Mine started a few weeks ago, I thought it was sodium intake but even when I don't have a salty meal I still get them! Ugh! I try popping them because it makes me gag because it rubs against the back of my toung, but the one I have now won't pop! Anyone have something I could try??!

I have the same thing, and I've been td it was a clogged salivary glad, and nothing to be concerned about. The more the food makes you salivate, the more likely it is to come back. Apparently there's a procedure to unclog it, but it can be painful, and isn't always effective. Go see an ENT and tell them you think you might have a clogged salivary gland.
