I went to the doctors today and got told i have strep throat. I have been put on antibiotics but have only had one so far. My throat is extremely sore. I cant swallow or do anything even just sitting there makes it hurt. I have a fever and all of that but what my question was is the doctor told me not to eat icecream or anything cold... Why is this? my plan was to eat that as although its the sensation of swallowing that hurts softer oods are going to help. Please help!

I would use some cough sweets, and perhaps some soup when your throat gets a little better. Vic inhalers and vapour rub also help me :-) xxxxxx
