I am on day 37 off suboxone after 4 years on it. Anyone can do this you just need to wean down to .25 or .50 of a milligram then you can jump. Definitely the lower the dose the better. Just my personal experience I had to work so I used low doses of tramadol for days 3-8. (Usually only 25mg in morning 25 at night.) you will still feel WDs but just don't take trams at a high dose. You will have to force yourself to say busy and push yourself. Keys for my atleast.

I'm hearing ya. My wife has been on sub for 5 years to try and break a 15 year methadone addiction. Down from 32mg/day to finally zero but it is hell for her and equally worse for me. Apart from the mood swings, verbal abuse and total irrationality the lack of sex builds a massive frustration level for me - I would like sex 3-5 times a week which I think is normal but I get about 5 times a year. Very frustrating but I'm still hanging in and certainly becoming an expert at my own manual technique. The things you do for love - get some toys, lube and look for the light at the end of the tunnel

"Opiate qualities"?
It's an opioid!! One of the strongest ever made, and the most prescribed pain media in Europe. Research. Learn. The speak.

Hi, you are right there. Soboxone is a very powerful drug. I would like to see .05 and .08 doses. Smaller than 2mg. They are too difficult to shave into 1/8 doses. I am weaning off slowly. Have been since September. Today I take 1/2 mg. Tomorrow I take 1/4 mg. Eventually I will take 1/8 mg. Per day. Then I may try to stop.Stick to the lowering of your dose. It's much easier . I have still withdrawal symptoms but they are greatly reduced. Soon come.

Thank you I am on day 4 and not sure if it's the withdrawals or the clonopin the Dr put me on but your story is inspiring.

I've gone through a methodone withdrawal An do it was horrific compared to suboxone. In the past I went through 44 days of inpatient detox--every moment a horror; pain, chills, sweating, headache, flu like symptoms and sleeplessness. Everyday, up to 40+ of methodone, my blood pressure soared at a dangerous 110/200.
I'm on day 26 of suboxone treatment (1 8mg tablet 2 times a day. The first week was hard, physical pain and mental anxiety and depression, but like heaven in comfort; while, methane felt like swollowing razor blades, suboxone is a calmer and kinder med for detox.
Having intense and chronic pain from RA, Lupus, additional autoimmune diseases, but I began experiencing withdrawals while on Norco--I couldn't take enough to get well. I knew the drugs had turned on me--no longer stopping pain, but adding grief and leading to a long depression; and grasping at a few meds, xanax, roboxin, everything but alcohol!! The first few days of Suboxone I felt so happy to be off da pills that I felt high--that satisfied happy of sucess one day at a time. After a couple of weeks I asked you doctor to increase the Suboxone (because I liked it

SUBOXONE is not an opiate. Sub and methadone are synthetic opiates. There is a difference. They react with the same neuro transmitters in your brain, I think, maybe more than opiates but opiates bind to pain receptors only. And pain receptors when triggered release all kinds of chemicals in your brain. Which causes the mood swings, sweats etc when you come off becuase your brain has to work hard and releasing these chemicals again on it's own. :) I remember a little bit but A & P.
