This is what I’m going through right now .. my teeth are crumbling and cracking practically daily. I swear it is because of the Suboxone .

1st of all " SCOTT " EVERYBODY ISN'T ON SUBOXONE FOR OPIATE ABUSE ( some may be ) most are on SUBOXONE for Opiate addiction which means that SOME USED PAIN MEDICATION FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME AND THEN TRIED TO GET OFF BUT THEN BECAME VERY ILL IN TURN WAS PRESCRIBED SUBOXONE TO ASSIST IN LETTING GO OF THE OPIATE PAIN MEDS ALL TOGETHER... YOU SEE , IT'S THE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES AND MANUFACTURERS FAULTS THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO PEOPLE THAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH THE WORLD EVERYONE WANTS TO JUDGE EVERYONE AND NOT CARE TO FIND OUT ANYTHING BEFOREHAND .... I'VE BEEN ON SUBOXONE FOR 3 YEARS NOW AND MY TEETH ARE TERRIBLE LOOKING .... I HATE SEEING THIS BECAUSE IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE SOMEONE WHO'S BEEN ON METH FOR YEARS EXCEPT I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I HAVEN'T !!! THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING THAT WE CAN ALL DO ... JUST LIKE JOHNSON AND JOHNSON BABY POWDER CAUSING CANCER AND THE EAR PLUGS CAUSING HEARING LOSS !!! MOST DEFINATELY IF IT'S ACTUALLY DRAINING CALCIUM FROM OUR BONES !!! IVE GAINED 80 - 100 POUNDS AS WELL FROM THIS SO CALLED RESCUE DRUG !!! WHERE'S THE HELP THEY PROMISE WHEN THEY GET YOU HOOKED ON THESE SUBOXONE !!! THEY'RE GONNA PAY ONE WAY OR ANOTHER !!!

Scott, I was on opiates for over a year due to constant kidney stones then switched to Subutex. This medication is extremely acidic compared to other opiates. I went from never having a cavity for 34 years and after one year of Subutex I needed 3 root canals and 2 extractions. My dental cleaning habits hadn’t changed. I’ve been seeing the same dentist for 20 years so he was shocked and did research into my medication. He confirmed the medication is much more acidic to your mouth than prescribed opiates.

All I know is that my teeth were good until my late 30s and I was a heroin addict my whole life. I started taking Subutex when I was 37 (with still pretty decent teeth) and now at the age of 44 I need $30,000 worth of dental work and they want to yank every tooth out of my mouth. What the f**k I need help

My wife and I both suffered the same issues with our teeth. She was on suboxone before it was fda approved. I started in 2011. She has lost all of her teeth a while back. And mine I have about 7 teeth left. We share the same dentist. Her both had great teeth. But suddenly our teeth started rotting from the inside out. There needs to be accountability. We need a class action lawsuit filed.

I was clean and sober for a decade when I was prescribed subutex for severe chronic back pain as a “safe non-addictive” alternative to opiates. Initially I thought this a miracle drug. Pffft. I had strong teeth and was on top of my oral health and within a few years this medication completely destroyed my teeth. Not only did they break, the molars just crumbled apart. I had no idea it was the subutex. I lost 14 teeth and the ones I was able to save needed root canals or crowns. I’ve been getting implants because the acid didn’t get to the bone but this has cost a fortune. There has to be a class action lawsuit. And btw this med is very deceptive because I was not clear-headed on this c**p. I was always in a functioning mild gray-out. It was a horrible, hellacious detox. Most people never get off subs and I understand why but it is possible. Being on subs was not living, just existing, and not all that different from being active at the end of the day.

I been taking 8mg suboxone strips 3 times a day for over 10 years now & I didn't know anything about what was making my teeth rot out and I have never done meth and my teeth were falling out. My dentist wants 10,000 dollars to fix them & I don't have the extra money to have the work done. 3 years ago I had no teeth problem with my teeth but a couple cavities but now it like I was smoking meth and all my teeth is down to the gums from rot. If I would have known this I would have went a different way with my recovery. But I am happy to find out about what was the cause of my teeth. But I think suboxone company and Dr that wrote this medicine should have something happen because I live in pain every day and don't open my mouth in public anymore.

I would love to have a suit against them my teeth need repair now and I will probably lose all of them and I think they should be held responsible

Been on this c**p for ten years. Struggling to get off. Tapering down. I'm on a tiny strip but stuck there because the withdrawals are horrible! I tried to go cold turkey and ended up in the ER. My teeth are ruined. I tried to start a class action but it has gone nowhere! Something needs to be done. My doctors didn't know a thing when they put me on this drug. They told me it was not habit forming! They insist its not the suboxone damaging my teeth.

I’m almost in the same boat , been on it 4 yrs , teeth I have left are a huge mess , gums are swollen and it just stinks , it’s the acidity of the medicine that destroys your teeth fast … so now I just got a deep cleaning on the one side of my mouth and have to go back in a few days for them to do other half , then most likely it’s off to the oral surgeon to get about 6-7 teeth out ( some at gum level ) and get my temp partial or denture put in , I know this post is old but did you get put under or did u stay awake , how did your procedure go , im sure your all healed up now and able to smile and eat better then before
