I need to lose weight for a special event. I have had a copy of the 3 day diet for a while, but never tried it, cause I thought it was just another stupid fad diet. Well, yesterday I started it and I feel great so far. I lost 2.5 pounds day 1! I'm not hungry and I'm enjoying the food. I'm eating better than I normally do, so I don't see a problem with it.

From my own personal experience with the 3 day diet I think it's GREAT! My first time on the diet I managed to lose 30 pounds in around 2 months. I followed the diet strictly for the 3 days and ate whatever I wanted on my 4 days off and drank 8 glasses of water a day and would occasionally jog on the treadmill for an hour or so on my 4 days off. I managed to keep the weight off for around 1 year and 1/2 after stopping the diet.. I am currently starting the diet again as a result of some weight gain from all the ice cream in the summer and all of the fast food and bbqs in the summer plus the fact that i never exercise anymore lol.. This diet is great in my opinion not only for short term weight loss but long term as well, myself and a few of my family members have had excellent results from this diet, none of us dropped 10 pounds in the first 3 days, it took some time but my first 3 days on it i lost around 4-5 pounds and the weight just kept coming off, so my advice to the ppl who are skeptics and not sure if they should try it or not, go for it! you'll be glad you tried it trust me! :-)

The 3-Day Diet definitely works! Out of all the diets I have tried, I find I have the most success with it. I tried the new one, which also includes menus for continuing to lose weight on the “days off”. I lost 9lbs in the 3 days on & another 6 in the days off. I got it here…

i tried the 3 day diet last week, but my 3rd day was a disaster because on my very last meal which is the dinner, i ate something that im not supposed to eat.. oh well.. im going to try again this friday- sunday..and this time i will make sure i finish it right..and i will also promised myself that i will NOT eat too much..because on my 4rt day i ate too much :-(

this thread sure is giving me a motivation to go on

btw i lost 4 lbs on my 3 day..eventhough i did not quiet finish my 3 day diet ( dinner ) .

i don't want to weigh myself, im afraid that i gained all the 4 lbs back the 4rt day..


i will do better this friday - sunday..and i'll be good this time ahaha

My doctor gave me this diet.  It is the one he gave his mother.  I shared it with my mother.  She went on this diet and went from a size 18 to an 8 in a year.  She got to go off of her high blood pressure and cholesterol medicine when her weight went down.  She has kept her weight off for over a year.  My cousin went from size 28 to 18 in 9 months (and is still on it).  I lost 10 pounds in a month and love it.  I think it is a great diet whether you have 10 pounds to loose or 100.

I tried this diet and only lost .4 pounds.......what is up with that........I even ran 7.5 miles each day.

That's awesome about the diet working so well!! Never mind all the naysayers about the diet being unhealthy or too few calories- I guarantee you that those responders are very overweight and unhappy, and really should worry much more about the obesity issues and dangers in their own lives than a 3 day diet risk. That always makes me laugh when I see all these people making excuses on why they don't diet- it's "too dangerous." Weighing 200 + lbs. is pretty freaking dangerous.

I am very happy that I went on this diet. It was not AWFUL, if you know what I mean. I only lost 4 lbs but I am not really fat. just overweight. I know I can do it again anytime I need a quick weight loss.

OMG I'm on Day 1 of this diet and its AMAZING!! i don't feel really hungry and i'm gonna get ready to workout (: just make sure, when the diet's over, don't try to go and celebrate by going to McDonalds and getting a Big Mac lol. Then the pounds would b right back on u xD but good luck guys!!! :)
