I agree this was me beofore I took up a Wheat free diet the doctor confirmed this and now I am fine unless I unknowingly eat some Wheat :-)
I have a feeling this may be the case for me, because, I am 41 and I have been addicted to soda. I have started to quit soda, but, sweets are still hard to give up. However, I have a feeling my late night sweets are causing me to get sick, and, I hate it, because, I feel it all the next day. How difficult was it to give up sweets, because, deserts at my house are all over the place, and, I love so many different ones (Chocolates and pastries). I am depressed thinking about having to give them up, yet, I hate this getting sick feeling. Sad to say this, but, after, getting sick I was in tears of the thought of having to give up everything I love. I just started with soda, and, this is difficult, enough. Now, take away chocolate, and, pastries, which, has a history for me, I do not know, if, I could do this. I know I need help, but, I am ashamed to admit how much food means to me.
21 year old female. I've had the EXACT same issue, literally just threw up for the second time in the last 3 days about 15 minutes ago. Been havin a constant heartburn-y, nauseas, acid reflux-y, indigestion-y combined feeling for the past two months. Only recently did it turn into waking up at 1-4 am feeling light headed and dizzy shortly followed by pretty intense vomiting. Only to have that followed by the next day with extreme stomach pains that are worsened even more so after swallowing food when it actually reaches my stomach. It used to just be acidic foods hat would cause pain over the past two months, now it is literally EVERYTHING. Went to the local 'urgent care' (Medexpress, somewhere you'd go for a cold if you don't have a primary physician and you don't wanna pay $200 at the ER) and was told I have a possible ulcer but they can't do the blood work their to be 100% certain so they're sending me to a primary physician to get it done it two weeks. For right now, all they could diagnose me with is what they're certain is happening, ulcer possibility put aside, which is GERD. Basically my stomach is producing way too much acid. Apparently changing your diet entirely can fix this unless you have an ulcer, then it's a bit more extensive. Guess we'll find out.
I'm a 14 year old female and i woke up and imedetly started toughing up. I was able to stop it from coming out and onto my bed thank goodness. After i swallowed it my throat started killing me and i also had A LOT of sinus pressure in my nose and ear. All i had was a sub for dinner.
Sucks. I've been throwing up all night. Woke up queasy and dizzy and didn't make to the toilet, vomiting my whole supper on the floor. This is the 3rd vomiting episode I've had since February. Last time,I had to call in sick from work,I was throwing up so much.
I am 17 years old of age and I experienced unexpectedly waking up around 2-2:30am 5//9/7 and I felt that I am not comfortable to go back to sleep. I thought that I was only experiencing insomnia, and I am also afraid that I might experienced sleep paralysis, but this time I felt that something is strange. While I am trying to sleep again, I feel dizzy and realize that I was going to throw up what I eat. I taste the food that was going up in my mouth that's why I rushed in the comfort room. It took me so long to throw up until I woke up my mom unintentionally and she ask me if I want her to bring me in the Hospital. I go back in bed comfortably at 5am in the morning. That was my first time in my puberty, i wasn't sure if it was connected of being anemic person.
I'm a 32 year old female and have had nausea, vomiting and diarrheoa, waking up between 2am and 3am once a week for 7 months. I have done a lot of investigating with natruopath, gastro specialists and GPs. Turns out I had some rare bacteria from overseas travel that depleted my body and have caused issues with my liver and immune system. I am now being tested for SIBO (Small intestine bacterial overgrowth) which can cause these symptoms. It has been very difficult to deal with and I'm sorry to hear that so many of you are going through the same thing.
I would highly recommend seeing your GP and requesting to be tested for intestinal bacteria if your systems persist and aren't related to digestion.

I would try lowering the dose of meds might help.

The problem is your diet, Alot of you might turn around and say you eat healthy but 90% of the time you're wrong. There are so many food and drinks that are destroying our insides that we dont even know about. Even when you are eating healthy and organic the time of day you eat certain meals can effect your body. Im just going to add a few things I cut from my diet and started feeling better within a matter of weeks, Im talking higher energy levels, generally better moods, absolutely no stomach pain, My joints started to ache less and I started to feel my age.. Any carbonated drinks (cocacola, fanta, etc) all contain awful chemicals and even more in Diet\Zero drinks.. Cows milk, We aren't baby cows for one, and two these cows are being pumped with hormones so they produce more milk and these hormones are being passed through their milk, I personally get chest pain if I drink a glass of milk.. All food with genetically modified ingredients *GMO's* these are awful for your body and you can find whether your crisps, chocolate or jellies have them in by reading the ingredients.. Ive actually stopped buying foods that require ingredients and I simply spend a little extra time with all the organic raw products and make these items myself, this way everything I'm eating is 100% natural.. honestly please try to change your diet before using medication for IBS like I did. Doctors gave me Emeprozol *spelt wrong* and Mebeverene, These mask the issue, till one day I collapsed from such awful cramps and ended up in hospital on an IV for 5 hours... Please change your diet guys and girls.. Stay Healthy Stay Happy Stay Smart.. Peace

After reading a few more posts what I have said doesnt Apply to everyone here. Some posts sound rather serious and should be referring to a doctor, But still live that healthy diet as it can only help !
Cyclic vomitting syndrome. Please read into it. Its taking the life out of my days and I am always sick. I hope you find help. Doctors are quick to dismiss it
That's exactly what just happened to me I just wokeup and puked
And now I'm sitting on the toilet being sick a different way
And now I'm sitting on the toilet being sick a different way
Im 15 & on the night before my 16th birthday I had similar symptoms, although I was not asleep yet. I had just eaten & I ate while sitting in a very awkward position so Maybe thats a possible reason. I had a stomach ache so I was going to take tums, I took 1 before realizing I should go to the bathroom. i was sitting on the toilet for a while & doing my business but even after I didn't feel better. i then sat with my parents and thought maybe I just need to burp so my mom started patting my back. That's when I ran into the bathroom and threw up. It was chunks & It seemed to be my dinner. I'm now laying down while my stomach still feels weird & making noises. Everyone else in the house ate the same thing as me so it isn't food poisoning. I took a pill my doctor prescribed for vomiting & it's supposed to hold me over for 8 hours. I just hate throwing up & i have a trip i'm going on soon so I really don't want to be sick during. I guess i'm just looking for Ideas of what it could be.
It's probably GERD this happens to my boyfriend and doctors say it's GERD. Lansoprazole daily or as needed and tums helps him HAS to take if he eats saucy, or greasy food and spicy food guarantee it will happen for him. Not eating within an hour before bed helps him too.
I have similar problems and my GP unusually was not very interested. I googled andfound Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome and some of it sounds like my problems. Mind it's a bit scary so if you're the type to get anxious maybe don't look at it. It does make the point that a variety of tests should be carried out before a diagnosis of CVS and they don't know what causes it.
