This might not work for everyone but I would advise the following things for those who are going through what i am (suffering a jones fracture). Its been really hard for me being on my own, with noone to fall back on, I can understand your pain:

I have had a jones fracture since 1.06.09, im being treated conservatively. I have gained knowledge about this fracture by reading articles and by visiting sites like these. i did not have any advise from my doctor.
trust me the following things will make a great difference to your recovery time.
cut back on your alcohol use
custback on smoking
consume recommended amount of daily calcium
pay attention to your diet( eat healthily)
massage your bad leg.
ice compressions or hydrotherapy to boost circulation.
if your poediatrist (sorry about the spellings) advises carry on with some gentle exercises.
have positive atitude, I know its easy to say but this would help with recovery.

I pray to God for the recovery of everyone of you. Good luck and take care please be positive and you will get better in time.
