Hello. I have been diabetic for 10 years. I managed to reach a stable control until a month ago. Now no matter how much insulin and what food I eat, sugar is always high. It started at the same time with an attack of arthritis, I don't know if this could be related or not. Doctor keep changing insulin kind and dosage with no result. Is obvious that something is happening but don't know what and why? have any suggestion?

Did your doctor give you steroids or a medication for the arthritis. Have you been taking pain medication more and what kind. Are you eating differently than you have.

Try eating 6 small meals a day: Breakfast entree, (less than 200 calories) dairy (small glass of milk) and protein (slice of bacon) Morning snack: diary (yogurt) or protein (egg) and a fruit 1/3 cup applesauce. Lunch: Entree (less than 200 calories) a vegetable (salad with 2 tablespoons lite dressing) and fruit or vegetable. Afternoon snack: dairy or protein and fruit.
Dinner: Entree lss than 250 calories, fruit or vegetable (broccoli, salad, and green beans) Dessert less than 200 calories. Each meal should be copnsumed about 2 hours apart, including dessert. The foods in parentheses are just examples. See if that helps your glycemic index.

Yes I have been taking Cerebrex, daily. 200 mg

I am not eating differently, I eat very little at breakfast, at lunch just fish and green salad.

I never had problems b4 controlling sugar. Now it's crazy: a fish fillet with olive oil send me up to 300 with 5 unit insulin, b4 I did not need any insulin at lunch and I was stable at 90/120 until dinner. Sometime I was even low to 60 if I was late.

Unfortunately in this country doctors don't help much. That's why I am asking help online. Thanks for your replies.
