I HAVE A FRIEND THAT USE TO BE AN ALCOHOLIC. SHE'S GOTTEN HELP BUT NOW ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS. WHEN I SEE HER, HER FACE IS ALWAYS SWOLLEN, HER HANDS AND FEET ALSO...AND HER FACE IS BROKEN OUT. SHE WENT THROUGH A DIVORCE WITH MY BROTHER; SO KNOW WE REALLY AREN'T CLOSE, WE JUST SAY HELLO- DO YOU THINK SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS IS WRONG WITH HER? CAN I DO ANYTHING TO HELP?
Hi Michelle, I'm not sure if there's anything that's pre se wrong with her. I don't think that it's indicative of relapsing into alcoholism but it is possible that she could be on a steroid or something like that. I think that you might want to mention it if you can, but are you close enough to where she'll listen? It's possible that she might just think you're picking on her. Let us know what you decide, okay?
