The same thing has just happened to me. It is even moving down towards my cheeks. I had a severe allergic reaction to an unknown substance 2 months ago and went into anaphalactic shock, so I am very anxious about this. My doctor is trying allergy meds, zyrtec and eye drops. If that doesn't work he has prescribed a stonger antihistamine along with zantac (yes the heartburn med - also used for severe allergic reactions). I am hoping this will work! Did anyone else get an good diagnosis?

It is a fragrance allergy! Mine was caused by Glade Plugins in my house.
Also got it when I bought a cinnamon broom one fall and put it in the family room. No one could diagnose it at first and I went through all the eye stuff (plugs, drops etc) with an optometrist. Then I went to an allergist who diagnosed it right away, gave me a cream to put on, and it was all cleared up the next day!

You need to get rid of anything in the house that has a scent or something you're wearing like perfume or creams that have  a scent.

I have had almost the same issue, like some one had punched just centemeters under my eye and have had swelling like that on and off during the fall and spring, i thought it may have been seasonal allergies but I am ruling it out cause it isn't spring yet it's still winter-ish out. But it spreads from my lower and upper eyes down to my lip and then after probably a week it's done, it deflates, and my face feels normal. It feels like a balloon was inflated under my cheek bone, but i have no idea what it is

I have Graves Disease and diagnosied in 2009. On medication for that and a year and half later my eyelids are swelling-first underneath and red and white whelts I noticed. Have been treated for pink eye, allergies and now they say I may have TED and causes eye problems-but I am not so sure. I have same symptoms as you and have sinus disease but noone wanted to give me Predisone until yesterday-an internest doctor. It is scary and my eyelids are swollen yet, I know it will take a while-3 wks he said to maybe help. I have eliminated foods, makeup, perfume everthing I can think of from my life. It is eye doctor and endo and all these others that dont seem to know. I have no insurance-if I did-I would have every test in the book already done. Please pray and I think something is going on in our environment to casue this stuff-to many people are having symptoms., I drink distilled water now and dont know what to eat.! Labels on food and preservatives are scarey! I will follow up later.Know that we are out here together dealing with this!! That is the only thing that is comforting to know!

This is exactly how mine started-first told me pink eye-steriod pills and antibotic eyedrops-no change, Next doctor told me same as you and same medicine-no change. The Zadtor did help when my eyes itched some. Just saying...

Try dipping a Green Tea bag in hot water, squeeze out excess water, let it cool a bit, then hold against the skin under the eye.  It really helped me last time my eye was swollen.  Re-dip in hot water and reapply for about 20 minutes in total

I woke up this morning and my eyes were swollen under my eyes and my lids were swollen and droopy. The skin around my eyes is very sensitive; I don't have any sinus problems. Has anyone had these? From what I'm reading, no one has been able to assess this accurately. Any assistance?

I have now been diagnoised with Graves' Eye disease by a ct of the orbit. They said my superior muscle was enlarged and this links to the Graves' Disease. I went to a specialist Friday at St. Joseph Hospital and eyelids are still swollen and IOP in eyes are elevated. Using my eyedrops as instructed and asked questions, but it seems doctors are to busy to be bothered by them. Said I need surgery-optic decompression and is quite costly and I have no insurance. I can apply for financial aide or Medicaid-but I am not wanting surgery. I am not so sure that it is what I need-its all about money. Later I was asked to pay 235.oo and 75.00 was for pictures, I asked what pictures and clerk rudely stomped out of office after saying the pictures they took of you. I said I guess I would know if they had taken any. She called me back and of course, the nurse had forgotten to take a camera and take 4 picture of my eyes! 75.00! wow, and no -I am sorry. That is not the kind of service you expect from professionals! Well, back to square 1, Appling for Medicaid and that in itself is an ordeal. I still wonder what is going on as to the eye problems and if the ct scan does indicate this problem with eyes, what is all the other persons going through? I have Graves and my eyes are painful and look scarey. I just need an good doctor who cares! That is the hard part. Good luck to all and I will continue my search and right now suck it up and deal with it. Cannot see to work on computer any longer and dont know if I can work at all with the eye problem. And people just dont understand! Unless you walk a mile in my shoess-dont judge me! Thats my new saying!!

I am miserable with the eye problem. It is TED I am sure now with the inflamation and lid retraction and stare. I think I will join a freak show in a circus! I am supposed to go back to the surgeon next month for a full exam and I really dont want to. I just dont know. I will maybe apply for Medicaid and see what happens as I dont have the finances to pay for doctors fees. So many people in this country are below the proverty line and need healthcare. Its sad. I am taking vitiamins, e, b6 for eye health and seleium. I am hopeing it will help. Meantime have seen an internest for TSH level which is low. I feel sluggish and tired and hyper inside. It is is increased (my thyroid med) the TSH will go down lower -I am told-it has before and I really think they need to look at the t3 and t4 also from what i have read about it. Will keep a post later as I deal with this on a daily basis.
