Hi,I am 17 year old male from Bosnia-Herzegovina.I have swollen gland on right side of my neck.It is solid and it doesn't hurt(never felt pain).I had it for about 4 years, but I never thought about it,and never visited doctor to check gland. It is not large, and it is barely visible. It has circular shape. It is wide less than 1 cm.Size never changed since I found it on my neck.My throat is sensitive, and I often have sore throat, and fever. Two years ago I had sore throat and went to ultrasound.Doctor moved that device across my neck, over gland, but I think he didn't notice anything.I didn't want to ask him to check it,because he seemed convinced it was OK.If anyone could tell me what could cause gland I would really appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.
The only way to know for certain would be to have it checked by the doctor. I have had 2 children as well as myself get these. It seems they usually go down. My oldest son had one behind his ear for a long period of time. I was worried he may have Lymphoma. So we had him checked. They did a Biopsy and said it was non cancerous. The removed it. However, it did grow back. I say get it checked out. Better to be safe than sorry. I wish you the best of luck.
