Hey everybody, i wake up 3-4 days ago with a strange pain in my mouth, at the back. The pain was fairly bad but standable, today i wake up in agony at 6am and everytime i gulp the pain in my throat is near tears pain.
I have a clear picture i took today which shows you what's going on in my mouth, please if anyone can help this swelling go away or the pain because it's agony i much appreciatte, thanks =]

Looking at your picture i cant see white spots that indicates tonsilitus.
The sides do look swollen an red. May be its an infection. If you notice white lumps you will prob need antibiotics. Have you had tonsilitus before?
Drink plenty, rest an gargle with salt water. Thats what my doctor told me when i had a throat infection.
For how painfull you say it is, id get it checked out anyway.

It's more painful in the morning it seems, but right now when i gulp it still hurts but it's bearable, I'm 19 and i have never had any problems with my tonsils before or my mouth, just the usual sore throats and common colds.
It's like there is something stuck in my throat when i swallow.
I don't fell like eating at all, i have been gargling hot salt water though and brushing my teeth 3-4 times a day chewing gum which seems to eases the pain a bit but the swelling hasn't gone down yet.
I have an appointment with my Doctor at 9:10 am tomorrow but when i try to eat it seems to take a while to go down and it really hurts my throat to cough. It's seems to be the area where my Adams Apple is that seems to hurt when i gulp but also the swollen part of the tonsils hurts too.
I just hope it's nothing serious as i have a date one Wednesday ><

Your throat will hurt more in the morning, as your throat will be dry. Especially if you breath through your mouth during the night.
I think you may have a throat infection.
The doctor will give you something im sure.
Dont worry about not wanting to eat. But you must keep drinking.
Let me know what the doctor says.
PS the sprays you can get are good. (they taste foul tho)

I'm hoping this annoyance will have gone or got less painful by wednesday. I went into Asda today though and they gave me some Lozenges called Tyrozets, 5MG Benzocaine, and these ease the pain slightly but taste foul, liquorice to be exact ><.
I found some Xylocaine at home though which my dad uses in his business for Tongue piercings, it numbs your whole mouth and that seems to work better than the losenges =D

Tyrozets, Yes iv had them great for numbing the tongue while you suck them HA HA
The sprays taste even worse then them but you can aim them right to you point at the back of your throat.
