I am still getting notifications of my own posts!
However, I am not getting notification of some of the posts to which I am subscribed, and so am missing responses which are addressed to me.
Also, I used to be notified of every post to a thread. Now I only get notified of one (if any).
I think you have something there. It worked OK for me one time yesterday. Then went back to the same old lose everything as soon as I open a post. Thinking about yesterday, I rebooted my computer because of some flaky things that were happening and that was probably when it worked right one time just after rebooting. The last time it worked OK was probably after a MS update required a reboot. I tried to find my history the other day hoping to clear it and couldn't find it in this W8.1 laptop. Haven't looked for that in years but it used to be easy to find in a drop down menu back a few years. Guess I'll have to do a "how to" in Google.
Hope they get things sorted out soon on here as no notifications drive me crazy having to go through all posts answered to see if they replied.
Have fun with W8.1
I'm new here, how do I post a discussion/question -speciifically in a section for example in bladder issues?
Hope you find the answers your want :-)
- At the top Left Select 'Menu' (3 Horizontal lines + Menu)
- Under 'CATEGORIES' Find 'Body & Health Conditions' and select the downward arrowhead.
- Select 'Urinary Tract Issues' ... That should take you to https://www.steadyhealth.com/categories/urinary-tract-issues ...[You could type that in your browser]
- On the right hand side is a box Which has a superscription 'Write your new topic now!" In that box, type in your narrative description of the area of interest, including all the information you think is relevant to it, and the specific question you want answering.
- Select 'Start New Topic' ... You are then presented with a page headed 'Post A New Topic' and your narrative will be in the 'Message:' Section, with the cursor in the 'Subject' box.
- Type a suitable heading, which might be 'Incontinence' or a brief summary of your question (say) 'How do I empty my bladder properly?'
- Read your narrative in the Message section, and format the text (Bold; Italics; Underscore) and check the layout, putting your narrative in paragraphs, and maybe using the bulleting or numbering facility.
- Under the message area is a question 'Follow this topic?:'. There should be a ticked box signifying 'I want to follow this topic' if (I assume) you want to be notified of any responses to you your question. You should already have indicated you want an email sent to when replies are posted. If not, go to your profile page
- When you are satisfied with what you have written, select 'Publish'
I hope this helps

Another quick solution is just to use the post from anywhere for at the right top (desktop users) of the sidebar which is available on any topic. Once you complete and submit the form you'll be asked to add a title and the topic will be automatically sorted into appropriate category. If the system wouldn't be able to determine, our moderators will resort and place your topic into adequate forum.
If you use mobile device post from anywhere field is also available for mobile users and placed below the last posts of a topic (and recommended links).
Let me know if you need anything else!
Still seems to be major problems somewhere there and the same for notifications sometimes get them mostly nothing though.
