Guess I spoke too soon. I just lost 6 pages when I went to page 2.

I am still getting notifications of my own posts!

However, I am not getting notification of some of the posts to which I am subscribed, and so am missing responses which are addressed to me.

Also, I used to be notified of every post to a thread. Now I only get notified of one (if any).

Your not the only one with this problem shepherd999 it seems to be very hit and miss to if you get notification to any subscribed posts replies except when you add a second reply then I always get notification for that but not to any more.

I have just experienced the same with nothing showing on latest posts but an hour ago before I went to the shop there was 12 pages so what I did was log out clear history and cache then log back in again and when I looked again 12 pages were back again. Seems like something isn't quite right and you need to clear cache and history to force your browsers to reload that's just my theory not that up on IT problems but know enough to get by lol

I think you have something there. It worked OK for me one time yesterday. Then went back to the same old lose everything as soon as I open a post. Thinking about yesterday, I rebooted my computer because of some flaky things that were happening and that was probably when it worked right one time just after rebooting. The last time it worked OK was probably after a MS update required a reboot. I tried to find my history the other day hoping to clear it and couldn't find it in this W8.1 laptop. Haven't looked for that in years but it used to be easy to find in a drop down menu back a few years. Guess I'll have to do a "how to" in Google.

WOW what a convoluted way of getting to the browsing history. I deleted it and it didn't help, so that's not my problem. Think I'll try rebooting to see what happens.

No luck again. I rebooted and I still lose everything after opening a post. It seems to have something to do with opening a post but even if I don't open one and attempt to change to the next page I lose everything. If I open the link on a reply email it wipes out everything too so I usually start at timeline so I get to pick ONE out of the first 10 on the first page if I see one I want to answer.

Did you also clear the cache storage out as well as the history because otherwise it will just link back through that again. I know what you mean about how hard it is to do what use to be simple tasks on W95 up to XP then things started getting complicated after that I have tried W8.1 on a laptop but was hard work that's a reason I use internet on my cell now so much easier and less stressful lol.
Hope they get things sorted out soon on here as no notifications drive me crazy having to go through all posts answered to see if they replied.
Have fun with W8.1

I cleared the top one and the third one on the list. I think one was history and one was cache. Cookies were in #2 spot and I didn't want to clear them so I unchecked them. But those three were automatically checked when I got there so I think maybe they get cleared when I reboot anyway. But it's not like it's just this computer. I have a W7 and an XP too and it's the same on those. So I don't really see it being on my end, I think it's their program.

I'm new here, how do I post a discussion/question -speciifically in a section for example in bladder issues?

Hi Jillie and welcome to the site :-) I have never asked a question only answered but I think you just post your question and it will get sorted to the right section.
Hope you find the answers your want :-)

  1. At the top Left Select 'Menu' (3 Horizontal lines + Menu)
  2. Under 'CATEGORIES' Find 'Body & Health Conditions' and select the downward arrowhead.
  3. Select 'Urinary Tract Issues' ... That should take you to https://www.steadyhealth.com/categories/urinary-tract-issues ...[You could type that in your browser]
  4. On the right hand side is a box Which has a superscription 'Write your new topic now!" In that box, type in your narrative description of the area of interest, including all the information you think is relevant to it, and the specific question you want answering.
  5. Select 'Start New Topic' ... You are then presented with a page headed 'Post A New Topic' and your narrative will be in the 'Message:' Section, with the cursor in the 'Subject' box.
  6. Type a suitable heading, which might be 'Incontinence' or a brief summary of your question (say) 'How do I empty my bladder properly?'
  7. Read your narrative in the Message section, and format the text (Bold; Italics; Underscore) and check the layout, putting your narrative in paragraphs, and maybe using the bulleting or numbering facility.
  8. Under the message area is a question 'Follow this topic?:'. There should be a ticked box signifying 'I want to follow this topic' if (I assume) you want to be notified of any responses to you your question. You should already have indicated you want an email sent to when replies are posted. If not, go to your profile page
  9. When you are satisfied with what you have written, select 'Publish'

I hope this helps

Thanks Shepherd999, great answer!

@Jillie
Another quick solution is just to use the post from anywhere for at the right top (desktop users) of the sidebar which is available on any topic. Once you complete and submit the form you'll be asked to add a title and the topic will be automatically sorted into appropriate category. If the system wouldn't be able to determine, our moderators will resort and place your topic into adequate forum.

If you use mobile device post from anywhere field is also available for mobile users and placed below the last posts of a topic (and recommended links).

Let me know if you need anything else!

Hi pseudonym, just wondering if they are still trying to fix the lost posts problem? Maybe they decided it isn't worth it for the few of us left using actual computers and I will have to get a mobile device if I want to continue.

Just to let you know njoynlife that I have now for some reason been getting intermittent problems when I go to latest posts one moment there is 2+ pages go back after reading a post and nothing at all.
Still seems to be major problems somewhere there and the same for notifications sometimes get them mostly nothing though.
