For the past couple of weeks I have been experiencing this tense pain on the side of my head. I have suffered from migraines from I was a child but this is just so tense it make that side of my head feel very heavy and it does not go away when I take the paracetamals I normally use for my migraines. I am 31 withtwo small children and this is very worring for me. My Grandmother died two years ago and she suffered from severe head pains at one point you could not even touch the left side of her face or head. She suffered from some nerve problems from what I gathered anyone with any advice please.

Hi Hon: OK there are MANY reasons for headaches, there is a pinched nerve in your neck! Stress/Tension etc, somethng simple like those. OR it could be the 1st signs of a stroke!!!!! Not to worry you of course, just wanting you to see a doctor OK? It is probably the lesser, but because there is a family history, it is a concern.
Do you have blurred vision or speech, numbness in the arm etc. If not you are probably ok! Like I said there are SO many reasons for headaches including Caffeine!!!!!! So you just never know! But like I also stated because of family history, go get checked out by a doctor, just to make sure there's nothing nasty going on OK? Good luck hun!
