To begin my 2 week ordeal i went to the bathroom to make my daily morning bowel movement when i noticed that after i wiped there was a large splotch of blood on the toilet paper. This immediately sent me into a frenzy of wondering "why am i bleeding?!" and "is it cancer??" and many other possible causes of the bleeding which in return made me very stressed out and upset. As a result of the sudden increase in my stress levels my stomach began to feel extremely bloated and i couldnt even eat because i was so upset. i finally calmed myself down and just waited till the next bowel movement to see what happens. No blood but it was very uncomfortable. prior to the incident i did notice that my anal region was extremely itchy but i kind of just brushed it off. This led me to believe that i was just suffering from hemorrhoids, and as a possible result of my stress and my sphincter being swollen i was constipated for several days making only very small bowel movements that were very difficult to come out. i went to see my family doctor and did a quick examination with his finger.... which sucked. but he told me that it wasnt hemorrhoids but he didnt even tell me any other possibilities because i failed to mention the whole blood on my toilet paper part. But anyways the discomfort in my rear end eventually went away but immediately after that i began to get excruciating head aches in my temples, around my ears, my jaw and the back of my head. the head aches just felt like pressure being pressed against my head in those regions, i assumed they were cause from my job (which involves my neck being bent forward long periods of time and that i was sleeping on my couch for the past couple of days leading up to that). My last 2 wisdom teeth are coming right now too and that could also be a reason for the head aches. but after 3 or so days of the head aches i wake up just feeling terrible. Stuffy and runny nose, sore throat, pounding headaches and fatigue. i went to a walk in clinic today to find out that it could possibly be a virus and the doctor said the only thing i can do is wait it out. the head aches are still present but they never happen in the morning, they always show up around noon ish and get progressively worse as the day progresses. So right now im just waiting it out hoping for the best i guess...it really sucks. but any ideas on what else it could be or if anybody has any good advice it would be much appreciated :-) because i am one of those people who when theyre sick i get really worried because im really concerned about my health cause my family has a poor background of medical health. i also observed some noticeable swelling in the groin and neck region and my testicles have been aching for the week and the past 2 days the aching has gotten worse.
I’m sure it’s very scary to discover blood like that, and then to get sick few days after that, but you really shouldn’t worry yourself too much. You did the right thing, you checked both problems with professionals, and they didn’t find anything serious. How long before finding blood were you constipated? It is very likely that constipation is the cause, especially because there was no blood for the second time you had bowel movement. Headaches which get worse in second part of the day, stuffy and runny nose, sore throat and swollen lymph glands (they are the reason for swelling in your groin and neck region) are all symptoms of regular flu which is definitely in the air this time of year. Think positively for a change, you’ve already had flu this year, so no more flu for you!

Thank you so much for the advice :-) I really appreciate it. Although I've noticed that I don't really have a fever but i have the other symptoms of the flu. Is this normal??

And I don't think I was constipated before I dicovered the blood but I remember that the bowel movement was really painful cause it probably wasn't properly broken down. But now I've been eating healthier and trying to get more fiber in my diet and I've been having pretty regular bowel movements now

Maybe you have a mild fever, or none at all, that can happen also. Have you been taking any flu medications? Maybe they are taking care of the fever so you can’t feel it.
