Hello! I am 36 years old male and for the last two weeks I have been experiencing strange aches in the scrotal area. They started to swell a little bit yesterday night. I haven’t had any problems before and am pretty worried now. I am married, have children and have sex only with my wife, so | don’t think this is an STD. What could be other options? Could it be nothing as well? Thx
Well, I was also hoping for nothing when I experienced similar symptoms. However, the story was a bit different. I was diagnosed with epididymitis. I mean, it is not sooo dangerous, and it is curable as it is a bacterial inflammation. I don’t know if you are aware of the epididymis, this tube that lies behind testicles and collects sperm. Inflammation and infection of it can cause pain, swelling in testicles and painful or frequent urination, and fever or chills. I was prescribed antibiotics and advised bed rest, ice packs and scrotal support with a jock strap. It is also said that the pain of the testicles can be caused by stress, but as you have swelling present as well, I would suggest you have it checked.
My husband is 36 and also has had problems like you are describeing. I made him go to a urologist and because his testicles were not swollen at the time he pretty much played it off. I wanted at least to have a urinalysis done but he said it wasn't anything to worry about. I'm thinkng of havin a second opinion.
What can cause pain and tenderness in the scrotum of 48 years old? My husband is very uncomfortable. He also has frequent urination, particularly at night. Our doctor said that frequent urination could be caused by too much caffeine. So can too much caffeine cause his testicles to be painful too?
