I have what appears to be a grade 2 varicocele. But I have alot of discomfort from it making me wonder if there's another problem. (varicocele's usually asymtomatic)
4 years ago I had a testicular torsion surgery on the left teste. Then a year later I fell off my bike, ripped the skin on my leg up and had a swollen inglinal area, but didn't have any acute testicular pain at the time of injury. Its onset came about a week later in left teste. The problem was identified as a varicocele which I had embolized, after which symptoms and the varicocele never subsided. It hurts most after sitting for long periods with pain progressing over the course of the day and the amount of daily pain increasing every month so that now I wake up with discomfort. My testicle pulses noticeably with blood and the cremaster is overactive causing my testicle to be always squirming around. By the end of the day the discomfort has become a strong ache in my testicles that makes it hard to walk. I was wondering since sitting brings it on and not standing, if it is being caused by the varicocele? Could I have nutcracker syndrome where my gonadal vein circulation is being crushed and constricted while sitting? I honestly feel more informed than the Urologists I've visited and I am desperate for help. Thanks

same here pal,,, i had OP on hernia last year 2011, and then was in constant pain which urolagy said was varicole and a cyst on my left testy which is always swolen and sore ,,so this year i got embolisation done feb 2012 and feel worse since i got it done ,, so went back to urolagy in july ,which he then said theres not much more they can do ? so they reffered me to pain clinic ,, which i have still not received a letter from,, now i have received another letter to go to urolagy next week 25th oct,, but when i was at urolagy in july he said even if he removed the testy and the veins ,,he said he couldnt say wether or not i would still be in pain or not ,, so looks like i will be back to urolagy before i receive a letter from pain clinic ,, NHS AND THE MAGIG ROUNDABOUT,,:O
