My daughter was diagnosed with Thalassemia Minor when she was about two years old. (She is now 20) Throughout her childhood she would run a temperature of 101 to 103 degrees for 24 hours periodically for no reason. I was wandering if this might have had anything to do with the Thalassemia. My daughter now has a 20 month old son who was diagnosed with the same.
There was not alot of info about this when my daughter was younger.

I just was diagnosed with Thalasemmia minor. I have been anemic all my life and when I was a child I was hospitalized once with a high fever with no explanation. The doctors were never able to detect the problem. My mom tells me I used to get them all the time.
My husband has Thal. minor and I do not have any kind of thalassemia. I am 24 weeks+ into pregnancy presently. I would like to know the chances of my baby developing any kind of thalassemia.
