I'm just 18
with 52 years experience.
Sometimes you get lucky or maybe they start over again.
Sho nuff, was slang before I was a kid. I heard it in old movies back then.
I think we're all younger than our parents were or maybe it's just the guys I hang out with who are, I'm not sure.
I went to my 50th high school reunion in '07 and I felt like one of the young ones. Seriously, there only about a half dozen of us who looked like we were reasonably sure of living to shovel snow another winter. I couldn't believe how old and decrepit so many of them appeared.

Good for you TM. That might not seem like much right now but you'll be glad you have it. I have watched the basic qualifications for most jobs go from experience working under a qualified person, to tech school certification, to having a college degree. When I started out in electronics, my army training at signal school was over qualified for most jobs. For the past 20 years I've been up against them wanting college trained engineers for my technicians job. The last place I applied to, when I was 62 , they asked me where I got my degree. I told him when I went to school to learn electronics, they didn't have degrees or even certificates. I didn't get the job either.
As unfair as it seems it has little to do with what you know these days and a lot to do with just having that piece of paper. Ten yaers ago I was working as an electronics tech in a fiber optics undersea cable company. The engineer over me wasn't an electronics engineer, he was an English major. He was hired for his damn degree, not his knowledge.
