The drug that can prevent type 1 diabetes?

I heard that there is a vaccine being discussed for type 1 diabetes. Now that would be revolutionary! I'd really love to get more information about this drug that could save so many thousands of people from a horrible disease. What do you know about this? Do you think it really works? When will we start using it?
