I have the same exact thing. I have wondered what it is for YEARS. I've noticed it since I was about ten years old. I really thought I may be the only one...I'm glad to hear other women have noticed this as well.

Did you ever find out any information to be sure? I'm having the exact same problem and I'm concerned.

I've find that it makes my nipples itch. When I pick at it, it comes out/off and quits itching. I kind of agreed with both the breast cancer and eczema. I hate it. Almost everyday.

This same thing happens to me. I'm 15 currently and it started probably around 13, which was a couple years after I started puberty. Off and on I google like crazy, but I can never find anything. The skin in the center of my nipple gets puckered, like everyone has said, and it gets rubbed off eventually, then it grows back and the process repeats. It's only been through this process three of four times, but now that in sure it isn't stopping on its own anytime soon, I'm a little suspicious. I'm too embarrassed to ask because I've been convinced it's just dry skin or something and not anything cancerous, but it's starting to freak me out. I'd love to get done answers on it.

Ok so im very glad/upset that i have found other women like me. Im not too sure when it started because (horrible i know) i dont examine my breasts, but I did notice them about 8th grade which is when i started actually growing boobs. I have searched the internet far and wide and i still have failed to find anything about this. I tried talking to my gyno but well, he was a man lol so i was just like, "yea nevermind im putting my bra back on." Lol, but in all seriousness i have been worried since i was young. I am able to pull them off and somethimes it hurts but sometimes it doesnt, and to answer someone's question about them changing in size, i have had them bigger and smaller so it does vary. I really do think (not just one of us and report back to the others) we all need to go get this checked out. Obviously this is something thats not very common since we cant find a single answer about this except these questions.

Hi I've read upon this ( which YES is very hard to find the exact same conditions) but it all comes down to picking disorders, OCD and anxiety.. I suffer the same thing and am worried about the damage I am doing, if ill be able to breastfeed when I have kids or have I just completely screwed my breasts. I suffer from anxiety and have OCD some strong OCD traits.

I am the same. I have it since a long time ago. The center is always darker and a little hard when I tap it with my nail. I never pay attention unless it gets itchy and kinda falling off. One time, I got curious and picked at it cuz it looked dry. The tip of the pieces came off and showed the pink part. It didn't hurt, just peeled off like dry/dead skin. Like everyone here describes. It does grow back as lighter color till time goes by and it gets a little darker. I try not to pick too much since I don't know what it is... Also embarrassed to ask or show doctors.

Wow so I've read most of the comments to this problem and I'm 18 I've got the same thing. I highly doubt it's eczema bcuz I've never heard of something like this and mine are dark not white. Eczema looks white bcuz it's all dry. My skin isn't dry it's pretty hydrated and these small things just harden and come off. maybe a gynecologis is the right person to see but it can't be cancer because I just got checked for it and I'm all clear. But these small annoying little things have been on my skin since I was 12 maybe. I see that everyone here has the same problem but no ones found a solution? I don't think pregnancy has anything to do with it. Honestly I'm not worried because I think it is something natural that just happens to some women. It is very embarrassing tho and I've found loose clothing helps. But it will never go away. If anyone ever finds a legit medical name for what ever this is and maybe some way to stop it please post. I'm going to the dr soon to ask about it and I'm going to explain my situation and that there are hundreds of girls and women out there with the same problem. So they have to give me an answer and I'll post it here when I get it. -tiffany feb 23,2015

I've been to my doctor with this as mine can get really itchy! I tend to peel of the dry skin as it irritates me the. Mosturise whilst the skin replenishes but it leaves the skin exposed whilst its growing back! My doctor said it eczema and using steroid cream and mosturiser clears it up but it always comes back like any sort of eczrma and just takes a bit of care on a daily basis

Please if anyone knows what I have please let me know!

I'm not sure how I came across this site and message board but glad I did because now I feel less alone! My problem is on both nipples and it's like a greenish yellow thick crust that settles in the center of nipple and hurts to peel off...I know it's not a wet discharge that dries because I never see a wet discharge coming out of my nipple...everything I've researched about my symptoms points to some kind of disease of the breast but I've had tests and biopsys of my breasts and there are no issues going on inside of them...when I showed my gynecologist it, she didn't seem alarmed and she said to just put baby oil on it to loosen it up and remove it, I've tried that but it still makes them sore and sensitive after...also to add to this, I'm a 26 year old female who hasn't had children and I've had this condition for Atleast 5 years...this is just a really frustrating thing to have to deal with and I wish it'd just go away all together :/
