Okay, so here is my story so i have had this maybe since i was 10 yo, right now im 13. this is the first time i have asked on the internet for something and im to scared to ask my father or a doctor, i just wanted to see if this is serious. there is a piece of skin, like i can actually SEE the skin its there, connecting to my penis glans to my foreskin (im uncircumcised obviously). i can pull it back pretty damn far, but (i dont wanna say this) when ever i get an erection it hurts when i pull back like im supposed to. it doesn't hurt otherwise. i went to the doctors before when i was a little bit younger and i had to put cream stuff on it but it clearly has not worked. it doesn't hurt when i urinate or masturbate, but i am getting worried, i just wanna know if this is serious or if there is an easy fix. PLEASE HELP! ease help!

Hi Joseph,

Look up "frenulum" and tell us if that is what you are referring to.

It is also possible you have a "skin tag."  They are NORMAL and COMMON until about age 16.  Your foreskin actually separates from your glans as you develop.

A short frenulum can grow.  It may also tear when you have sex.  It's too early to tell.

My advice would be to wait a few years for now and see if you outgrow it.

Good luck.

i dont think it is a frenulum. but what does it do?

The frenulum connects your glans to your foreskin. It's normal and helps your foreskin cover the glans.

Get circumcised, you'll be happier and so will your partner/partners.
