For the last 5 years I have had a very thick white vaginal discharge and chronic UTI's (between 6 and 12 a year). The discharge wasn't as thick or consistent in the first few years but it has progressively gotten worse, especially over the last 6 months. I always notice it on my panties and during sex with my boyfriend of 5 years. Sex is very uncomfortable and I am always dry during it. The discharge has a slight odor and I have never had any itching or redness accompanied with it. In the last 6 months, I have had 4 UTI's, one of which landed me in the hospital. While I was there, the doctor asked me if I had noticed any white discharge at all. I immediately said no out of embarrassment (which was SO silly of me) but his reaction to my "no" was concerning. He seemed very relieved and said "Thats very good. That would have been really bad". The UTI's are so bothersome and are taking a major toll in my performance at work and in school. I don't have health insurance and I really need help figuring this out so it can be over with! Please help!
I have had a similar issues. I was diagnosed with BV bacterial vaginosis. I believe you may have the same issue. Which is what causes the white discharge. The high amount of bacteria puts us at higher risk for UTI. Get the BV treated and I bet your UTI's will be less frequent. .
