For three years I have been suffering from constant abdominal pain and nausea. A little over a year ago I had a physical exam, and the ywere worried because the pain around my ovaries is so immense pressure on that area can bring me to tears. So I was sent to have an ultra-sound, nothing. Had another physical exam and she felt something, and reccommended that I look into having a laproscopy to find out if endometriosis could be behind it. I never had it done because the cost was just too high. The past seven months, it has gotten worse. My sex drive is nearly gone, and even if my boyfriend and I do- it hurts and I bleed. The bleeding started out lightely, a little pink here and there. The past three months it has been dark red blood and there has been a lot. After sex it hurts to urinate. Also, some days I rush to the bathroom to urinate five times in an hour. My sex life has been completly halted because we are both disgusted and worried. I have nausea almost everyday and the pain is scattered around my abdomen and even makes my back hurt.
The middle of the month I'm going in for my yearly, and plan to talk to them about setting up to have the laproscopy. But for the time being, I was wondering if anyone has had these problems before?
( Random details: I'm 20 years old, I use NuvaRing, I have been checked for all STDs, ovarian cancer is prevelant in my family.)

Hi honey! I will bet EVERYTHING that you have Endometriosis, IF you can't afford a laproscopy then just tell them and they should be able to diagnose you with your symtpoms - they are CLASSIC!! Espcially painful sex and urination! They will have to stop the Nuvaring! And possibly put you on a hormone patch and medication! So try and get in there sooner than possible - so there is no free clinic for women where you live? I just DONT get American healthcare and that public helthcare wasn't brought in! >:(
That is how it is looking, I have been talking to a lady I work with about endo. and she has been telling me a lot about it and the things done to get rid of it and keep it under control. I have health insurance now that will cover 80% of it, and my exam should be covered- and I finally paid the deductible so I should ideally be okay. I don't either, I'm glad I asked about the cost though because they were just going to go ahead and sign me up. I'm living on student loans right now, so hopefully it doesn't cost too much if they do want to go through with the surgery. I hope they can give me some sort of other BC if they take me off Nuva, I love my ring. Haha. Thank you for the response, it's a bit of a relief to be hearing more of endo, some people were really bringing up the cancer thing and it was scaring the c**p out of me.
Actually I think you should be off any Birth Control for a bit! Endometriosis is from hormones and uterine tissue, so the less hormones you have the better OK? Have your partner use a condom ALL the time till you get this solved OK?
