Hi I get this at back of throat when breathing in and in bed even propped up. No other symptoms except atrial fibrillation of heart but guess not connected. feel fit and healthy! any ideas?

IT COULD BE FROM ASTHMA, ATELECTASIS, PNEUMONIA. THE LIST IS ENDLESS. DO NOT TELL PEOPLE THEY HAVE SCARRING FROM GERD IN THEIR THROAT. SOME OF THESE THINGS ARE DIFFICULT TO DIAGNOSE. I WOULD SEE SPECIALISTS SUCH AS A PULMONOLOGIST AND AN ENT DR OR THE ER IF AN EMERGENCY. YOU MUST SEE A BOARD CERTIFIED DR SPECIALIST TO GET YOUR ANSWER. SOMETIMES TWO. BUT DOCTORS ARE WHAT THEY ARE BECAUSE THEY HAVE MANY MANY YEARS OF EDUCATION UNDER THEIR BELT. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DIAGNOSE SOMEONE WITHOUT LABS, PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT, IMAGING AND MORE. GO TO THE APPROPRIATE DR OR GET A SECOND OPINION PEOPLE. I have searched for years for an answer to my rice crispies sound of snap crackle pop in my throat especially at night when I am semi reclined. I have just been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and a rapid heartbeat but no symptoms felt and my lungs are clear so it is not rales or crackles. Help!

When I lay down I here this this pop in my throat. I can also slightly feel it. It has happens either when I breathe in or out. (Would have to lay down to check.) I also have a huge tendencies to inhale liquids when I am eating. Foods such as soup and cereal are tricky. I try to be conscious of swallowing.
The mechanism feels like a flap that is opening and closing.
I have mentioned it to Internist, no one seems concerned. In the long run I don't feel the need to pursue it because obviously that is the way I am and don't feel that medication wouild change it. A note, I also have a motility problem with my esophagus. Good luck with your answers.

Forget to mention, I have a fan in my room. The additional noise in my room helps. It is very annoying to lay down to sleep without, hearing the popping.

Omg! As soon as you said mould spores, I thought about a pillow I was using and was suspect for mould after I washed it and hadn't thoroughly dried it. Can this cause any serious problems?

Same exact symptoms here. I have an enlarged thyroid, so part of me wants to blame it, but now i also have started coughing, and wonder about my lungs or heart. I plan on contacting my physician to try to get some answers.
