The same thing started to happen to my wife. Hard time breathing, Feels like something is stuck in her throat, she seems to often have swelling in her glands or upper sides of her neck? The Dr told her she has Vocal cord dysfunction. She still struggles with this. Some times its really bad. Dr said the only thing she can do for relief is message or exercises that she needs to learn by going to see a therapist that treats this.

I was recently sick with Acute Bronchtis and I was put on steroids, inhalers, cough medicine and once I was done taking all the meds, all of the sudden i feel these lil bubbles form in the back of my throat. My PCP told me I have allergies and has me on Flonase that i have to take daily. I also have sleep apnea as well as kissing tonsils. I notice the bubnles more now that I am getting over the bronchitis. So I was wondering if this could be just Allergies.

Aloha, I have had this crackling , popping, bubbling in my throat which I can only clear by drinking a bunch of water and coughing it up. it does not hurt or contain blood or colored sputum its just clear white bubbly substance. The issue in my throat then returns a few moments later especially if I lie down. Its scary since it began after having 2 heart attacks and 4 stents put in and began blood thinners. I had chest testing done by my heart doctor and he said my heart muscle is fine and my lungs are clear of anything. In fact he said I have the heart muscle of a 25 year old (after 2 heart attacks, basically dieing in the ER and being flown to another island for emergency 4 stent procedure. But this continues daily like two full coffee cups a day. I also have a shortness of breath if I move to quickly. The sound is heard by others and is in my upper trachea not in my lungs. Please help me if you know anything about this kind of situation. Mahalo nui loa for your help ...

Check out SIBO (small intestine bowel overgrowth)
If too many carbs causes leaky gut syndrome...makes methane gas with too much bad bacteria and when you are lying down it sounds like rock candy popping in back of throat ....
See a gastroenterologist...for a breath test ...

I have the same exact thing. I have a horrible cough and don’t have asthma but dr prescribed inhaler. I used it a couple of times. I think it’s comes from THAT. I hate it. Does it go away? It sounds just like pop rocks are stuck in back of throat.

I have same symptoms, clicking in throat when breathing and sometimes just clicks without even breathing. Also irritated throat, like itchy, scratchy and tight. Making me cough. I have almost life long reflux disease with almost all symptoms it does have. Before i noticed this clicking i had couple of very severe heartburns.

It could be a lot of things. Best check with the doctor. One possible suggestion is to have them check your thyroid. Your thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland at the front base of your neck. When it's enlarged (called a goiter) it can feel like a lump in your throat or your throat is restricted. It can also sometimes be sore, make it hard to swallow etc. Sometimes the goiter is visible as a lump in the front of the neck but I have a thyroid goiter that's very hard to see. So depends. Mine is causing clicking when I breathe in certain positions too. But it could be something else completely. Best get an exam :)

I have been having the very same symptoms and it is driving me crazy. You described them to a tee! What could this be?

Hello everyone. Please ask your gi dr for carafate liquid. This should help coat the throat and esophagus. Also try a breathe right strip. While I do not know exactly what the sound is caused from, it feels basically like the back of the tongue sticking to the soft palate and releasing on exhale hence the “click”. I think stress, fatigue, and nerve health all play a factor., the clicking is the most annoying thing and has caused me 2 weeks of sleepless nights worrying I am not getting enough air. Does anyone have any additional suggestions?

I have desperately been searching any kind of information I can find on this topic. I always read that it’s related to LPR or silent reflux. Could anybody with the same issues post an update or tell me if they have found anything? My symptoms are the following. When I’m lying down, I feel like bubbles Are popping in my throat. I only have this when I’m lying down thank you.
